Some idiot hit the car & drove off hence the visit to Seward repair centre . They picked the car up on Monday & it was finished yesterday. Dine a great job the car looks fantastic just like new.
I have waited today for Seward to collect my car, it is now 2pm and it was clear when I contacted them again, they had forgotten. Also they could not give me a rough idea as to how long they would need to fix the problem, basically following an impact my passenger side window will not open and the door will not open from the inside. A good mechanic would have a rough idea of what has happened. I decided not to go with this garage. The Insurance company agreed I could use my own garage.
I'm giving 1 star because I can't give 0. Picked my car up after they had it for OVER TWO MONTHS through an insurance claim, and it's not even fixed. The engine wouldn't start after the collision and was clearly damaged, however this morning when I went to start my car the engine wouldn't start. I have been through two months of poor service, 'matter-of-fact' and unsympathetic phone calls, ringing up most days because they couldn't be bothered to give me any updates, and having the delivery date pushed back five times only for it now not to be fixed because they "didn't know the engine needed fixing". What were you doing with it for two months then?! They are not car specialists in my opinion so no, I would not recommend them.
Absolutely rubbish. Had car for 3 weeks to replace a bumper and fog light. They damaged the bumper twice, got it back from a driver who was driving 30mph in a 5mph site over speed bumps, hit the kerb then was rude, aggressive and intimidating. The bumper is scratched again along with countless other scratches and damage all over the car that wasnt there before, my dash cam was unplugged and cable broken when they had no reason to touch it. Constantly try to fob you off. Contacting my insurance company to get this sorted hopefully by a company who knows what they are doing
Having noticed some minor damage to my wifes car, I decided to call in to the repair centre to see what it was going to take to get it repaired. Very helpful young lady in the office called for Gavin the assessor to take a look at it. He asked if I could leave the car with him for a couple of hours for which I was happy to. I returned to find the minor damage to the car had been repaired to an exceptionally high standard. Spoke again to the young lady in the office to ask how much I owed, only to be handed my car keys and told no charge. I am extremely grateful to all involved for the outstanding customer service to my wife and I. Very happy customer!
Broke my windscreen. Then waited weeks for them to repair. If an insurance company wanted me to use again I would want to avoid. Still get texts from them regarding my car being repaired. Even though it's been repaired. The girls on reception were great so gave an extra star.
Car taken here due accident and one of the registered garages for LV insurance - unfortunately had the worst experience with over a months wait for car to be returned. Disorganised, different reasons everytime contacted for car not being ready, when apparently ready it wasn't and had another two weeks wait with different reasons each time. Caused undue stress as by the time car was ready it had run out of its MOT which was due. On the plus side the manager did take the car to the required place to get MOT and did collect car and deliver to home address.
Awful service took 5 weeks for a bumper and headlight to get fitted. Staff didn't know what was going on, got told three didn't dates as to when the car would he finished. when I finally got my car back there were clips missing from fixtures and paint work was the standard of a 3 year old.
Avoid - Had to use them twice now and both times the work was well below back street standards.
O.M.G, My Van was rear ended by a car, the 3rd party insurer asked if they could repair my van, they sent it to Sewards Nationwide Accident Repair Centre The Seaward's expert told me my van could be fully restored to its former glory. Other mechanics and friends were surprised to hear this due to the van having big hump in body shell in the rear loading area. Due to Seawards being the professionals, I went with the Seward expert and had the work done. After delay after delay it went to 39 days before the van was returned. I opened the rear door to still see the hump the loading area of the van, reduced in size admittedly, but still a hump where there hadn't been prior to the accident. Underneath there were untidy patches that had been welded in place not and ground back or covered by underseal. I was told that the hump in the floor was standard for my type of van, I had to send photo evidence that this wasn't the case, Sewards fixed the hump by using thicker plywood floor and packing out the ply corners to make it look correct. The van was then returned again, however the rear doors then needed to to be slammed to close them. So the van went back for a 3rd time to have the locking mechanism replaced. 49 days after the van was first taken for repair it was returned. I know under the thick plywood there is still a hump, door locks that not quite in the right position and the reverse sensors seem to have a mind of there own. Far from the former glory promised. I was forced into accepting the van back due to the inconvenience and the fact the 3rd party insurer refusing to supply a replacement van after Seawards first returned the van after 39 days.
