Lovely place to walk with bracing winds at this time of year, so be prepared. Perfect for family's as there is a concrete path for buggies, kiddies bikes or scooters. Though it can still get muddy when there has been a lot of rain, as it washes down off of the downs. Grass path alongside the the river if you prefer not to walk on the concrete path. Lots of dogs around, so perfect for them if they like the water, as there are plenty of shallow parts for them to paddle in. Venture up and over the downs if you want a longer walk.

This is a great destination for a day out. Hiking, photography, eating. Superb views and lighthouse to hike up to. A nice cafe, gift shop and toilets to warm up in. We visited during blinding wind and rain. And still had a good time. Very windy. Be prepared for extreme weather. Umbrellas no good here. There are nice viewpoints for the less adventuresom.

We visited on a sunny but windy day in Feb. Still amazing views & the trail has been kept in good order. I will definitely visit again in the summer when the weather is better. We found some fossils on the beach & a few sea critters too.

One of the best beaches in the UK because you can both see a clean beach and seven sisters cliff. Take a walk along the cliff to the chalk river and swim!

Absolutely stunning. I was lucky enough to visit on a day when there wasn't rain and it was incredible. I took one of the 12 buses from Brighton to Cuckmere Inn and then walked the 1.5 miles on a very muddy but bucolic path to the Coastguard Cottages where you can get the best view. I tried to cross the river to get to the cliffs (which I wouldn't advise). I was unsuccessful and instead chose to head back and grab a coffee at the Saltmarsh near the visitor's center. It was exactly what I needed, beautiful, cozy, and has a delicious assortment of cakes.
