Went to The Seashell, with two family members for an early evening bite to eat, and I must say we were not disappointed. All three fish suppers were superbly cooked, traditional style and grilled, with a generous portion for all. The service was tremendous, with our waiter being attentive and accommodating throughout, which made for the most pleasant dining experience.
Last Wednesday night I visited this take away and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. The fish and chips were delicious, hot, and crispy, just as they should be. The batter on the fish was light and crispy, while the chips were golden brown. One thing that stood out to me about was their attention to detail. The portions were generous, and the food was served in a clean and presentable way. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure my order was correct and asking if I needed any sauces or extras. In terms of value for money, I was very satisfied with what I received. The prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food was definitely worth it. Overall, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious, affordable, and well-presented meal. I will definitely be returning for more of their tasty fish and chips!
A gem of a fish & chip take-away and restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of Marylebone Road and Baker Street. Very fresh fish, cooked really well. The whitebait were plump and plentiful. If you don’t want your fish fried you can ask for it to be grilled in the restaurant - when it’s not too busy.
Fantastic Fish & Chips restaurant in town. High quality food& great ingredients. The best fish&chips I ever had. The fish meat is fresh and crunchy. Potatoes are nicely baked and crunchy too. ALL.food are yummy. Price is good& worth the money. Overall, outstanding service, cleanliness, athmosphere&food. I will definitely come again Highly recommended. I ordered the cod and chips £13.50. The chips were crunchy and the cod was fresh and fluffy. Waiting time took longer than expected for a takeaway order. However, the food was worth the wait and I would visit again.
A thoroughly enjoyable meal and quality fish with bottomless chips. The side salad was smaller than any economy class flight would have been. Sadly not as memorably enjoyable as on previous occasions over the last 45 years.
Still the best and most incredible Cod and chips you will ever enjoy eating. The fish is so fresh and fluffy and the coating is so crispy cooked to perfection. Been the family’s go to fish and chips for over 20 years.
Great experience! First time having the ever so famous fish and chips in London. Food wasn't bad. Not amazing either. "Chips" we're a bit bland and the fish was not memorable. Maybe that's the authentic way. Some seasoning in the breading would help. Again, not bad. Service was fantastic. Cool neighborhood.Food: 4/5
We spent £30 to order two cod and chips with two can of coke. When we got our order, they packed it in a take away box even though we didn't ask for it. There was no salt in the bag so I walk in and politely ask a lady not sure about waitress or cashier if I can take the salt and vinager to my table outside for few mins, she said yes only if I put it back. And literally after 3 mins she was yelling at me through the window and pointing the salt and vinager. So I brrought it in becasue I know the whole restaurant share one salt and vinegar. Sounds inconvenient but I understood. Once I stepped in she was even louder, "I was waiting ages for the salt and vanger!" Well I thought someone is waiting so I just say sorry and get back. And turns out she just want to clean the bottle and go for her break. Which I understood but please don't yell at anyone. Bad service and rude attitude. We said thank you everytime we fisnhed the coveration with the staff but the lady didn't even look at us. Maybe she had a bad day, but please understand the whole restaurant expersince could all fail by one staff's rude attitude. I'm sure other staff heard but seems no one is trying to stop the lady from yelling while working. After all the yelling from the staff I start to eating my meal, the fish is really fresh and delicious, but my friend told he doesn't like it so I try to help him fisnhed his fish the last photo. I was very shocked from the fist bite because it was so dry like the fish had been left oo the grill for 30 minutes. It was like crewing dry straw. My fish was amazing though, I hope my friend's fish was just a mistake. Becasue he almost finished his fish, we didn't tell the staff about it, and the dinner rush hour just started.
We came the 27/12 at evening and for the first time of my life that I ate fish and chips I can only say that it was perfect, so fresh and so tasty !
