AVOID AVOID Don't bother was a good place to go now there's a new MOT test guy and he will damage your car and not admit to it even though you see him do it, also remove any valuables or they go missing so stay well clear. Funny when I tried talking to you, you didn't want to listen but now there's a bad review you're quick to fire back all I'm doing is warning other people of poor quality of service now. That's a shame because was always happy with the service how one person changes that. Also your cctv will see your MOT tester abusing my car when brake testing my car and the roller brake testing machine braking and failing to work correctly.What's also funny he made it clear he was turning my dash-cam off and that there was no filming aloud for Privacy reasons but your cctv is OK. All this could have been resolved by you just talking and listening,I'm not bothered that the car failed I get it that's the whole idea of the test to find faults then make the car safe again not a problem, I got the fault fixed immediately at my garage and yes you retested immediately but it was still your MOT testers stinking attitude throwing abuse and sarcastic comments. LISTEN EVERYONE JUST AVOID, THIS MAN HAS AN ANSWER FOR EVERY BAD REVIEW AND HE HAS PLENTY OF THEM.
I bought my first car from Select Cars, and found it to be a pleasant well run family garage. The staff were helpful and informative. The prices were suitable for a whole range of budgets, and gave me the option to trade in when I am ready for a larger vehicle. Since buying my KA I have taken it back to Select Cars for MOT & Service doing on it and cannot fault the work at all.
I have used Select Cars a number of times over the past 20 years, and have just bought my latest vehicle which I am very happy with. I got a great part exchange deal and any issues that I noticed after purchase were dealt with promptly by the staff to ensure complete satisfaction. Highly recommended
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TURNT THE CAR INTO A DEATH TRAP! My partner bought an insignia from them at the time it needed the radio fixed and they said they were waiting for a radio code. One month later we never heard anything from them so we called up and where told the radio has been order. We called a few times to find out what was happening and eventually the car went to them this week to get the radio sorted. They changed the radio face and it has messed up all the electrics of the car. There is no longer a sound when the indicator is on, no warning sound for seat beasts, no sound for hand break warning , the temperature control and display is gone it’s now a guessing game. Instead of fixing these issues the excuse they gave was there wasn’t any other way of sorting out the radio. I will not be recommending this company to anyone. Edited to respond to the below comment: First of all my partner was not made aware that the changes to the radio would lead to loss of controls otherwise we wouldn’t have agreed to that. To start with you had said you were waiting for a code then after weeks of chasing you said you had ordered a radio. No sane person would agree to have a loss of controls for a radio so please don’t lie and say this was communicated. It wasn’t ! The people I had recommended to this garage I have now told them to stay away
Swapped my focus st and cash for abarth 500, very friendly family owned business. Slight issue with log book but was quickly resloved by Gary the owner. Would recommend select cars and would do business in the near future with them.
We saw the car online and arranged to go and view it on 14/04- We were told the car had no faults, they just said it would be serviced and MOT and a new grill. We rang our finance company and signed all the documents and we were told by Gary the car would be ready the following week. It wasn’t. Another 3 weeks went by with no car. Each week something else was wrong with the car. Upon being told a now 4th different time and ringing for an update we were told they were still waiting for a part. After waiting 4 weeks for this car I told Gary that if it wasn’t ready this weekend we may have to pull out and look elsewhere as it wasn’t good enough. Gary said “let me know because I have someone else lined up for it”. He had the audacity to tell my partner he knew we were “never going to go through with the car” and that after he had finished on the phone with me he had taken a deposit from someone else within minutes. Why would they have someone else lined up for the car that was technically sold and we had signed the finance documents for and we’re waiting for the car to be done. If we didn’t want the car as Gary stated then we would not have wasted 4 weeks waiting for it to be ready and ringing the garage every week for updates on it. Through the whole process we never got to see the car running or test drive it despite asking multiple times. Once the question was completely ignored and the second time it was refused as the car was “cutting out” The car was apparently cutting out due to a recalled part. This car has no outstanding recalls. I respect that parts from dealerships can take a while and that the garage is in essence a 3rd party in that scenario but the lack of contact from the garage for updated and information about the car wasn’t good enough. We truly believe Gary already had someone lined up for the car after we had said we wanted it and that excuses were made to elongate the process forcing us to walk away so that the other person could have the vehicle. The finance company apologised on their behalf due to the service we received and said they have not deal with a car taking that long of a period to be ready. Had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Garry and his Dad over the past week. Went looking for a Mazda 5 and found one here. Told him about my budget and he fixed me up with a great car! Was honest from the word go, couldn’t have asked for a smoother purchase. The other cars he has on site I couldn’t believe how cheap they are compared to dealers around Liverpool. Would 100% recommend.
Con! Over charges! Cars are faulty! Had to go trading standards and beyond! Told not first time they’ve dealt with this man! And his garage! My daughter got most off her money back! The car was returned! Fault after fault!! Did not get repaired as it should have under warranty! Stay away!!!
Did a part exchange with Gary and his son, the most accommodating garage I have ever dealt with. They even delivered the car to me at the other end of the country when my boy was sick and I couldn’t leave him. Would recommend to anyone. Best experience I’ve ever had with a car dealership.
