Story

At SeeWoo we have been pioneering Oriental food since 1975.

For 4 decades the Tse brothers have been making authentic Oriental food accessible to restaurants, retailers, wholesalers and private customers.

With our network of distribution centres and retail stores across the UK, we are number 1 for quality and choice offering our customers over 8000 authentic products.

From the field to the table, SeeWoo is involved in every step of the supply chain. We place great importance on the provenance and traceability of our food. Our experienced buyers spend a great deal of time visiting farms, factories and growers to pick our products. To fulfil our commitment to freshness and quality, we airlift many products weekly from Europe and the Far East.

We have an intimate understanding of the food production process, with our own BRC accredited factory, Way-On Foods, we manufacture our own range of speciality dim sum, noodles, marinated meats and chilli oil sauces.

Once sourced, we import and distribute our products through our wholesale division, supplying thousands of restaurants and Oriental supermarkets across the UK.

We retail our products at SeeWoo stores in London’s Soho, Greenwich and Glasgow.

This shop is decent, neat and spacious compared to other two big grocery stores in London China Town. Things seem like cheaper than other Chinese supermarkets. Provided lots of chinese vegetables but really expensive though.
My fav Asian supermarket in Chinatown. They have most things that I want. It gets quite busy and the queue tends to be extremely long but it was well stocked. The price is comparable to other Asian supermarkets but it is slightly off the main stretch.
Whether you want to pack your basket with pak choi, or play a little more daring and fight with a live crustacean, or take pot luck on goods packed in tins and boxes with only Chinese text, Soho’s SeeWoo might be just the place to get your juices flowing. Oodles of ingredients from noodles, spices, fish, meat and erotic vegetables those long white radish! adorn the shelves of this little gem of a shop in Lisle Street. There is the tank, with live lobsters, crabs and snakelike fish. I’m glad there are no teddy bears in there. But could there have been earlier in the day?!
Best Chinese supermarket on Lisle street in Chinatown London for over thirty years. Excellent selection of herbal tea from Jasmine Green tea to Lychee black tea to White Peach Oolong tea. Best Chinese medicine for sore throat, flu and colds called Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa sold at Christmas time.
Bought some hotpot ingredients here- I can't speak for other products but the hot pot items were definitely slightly pricier here than at the other supermarkets a street behind. Felt a little pained! at the difference but I guess that's the price you pay for a more comfortable shopping experience- See Woo was less crowded and I didn't have to queue at all to pay.
Really good Asian grocer in Chinatown - they have most Asian ingredients you need, but the main reason I go here is the fresh/live seafood! It's perfect if you're looking for pomfret, live flower crabs, tiger prawns, and even mussels and cockles. The prices are very reasonable too!
See Woo = See You. Used to be my favourite go to. Especially when I had lived in Greenwich for a while. Now every visit has been extremely disappointing. Two stars for the hope that you will rise up and be what you used to be - reliable for what you say you sell.
One of the main food stores I go to get my Asian ingredients as they have quite a diverse range off produce at a good price...
I loved the store. Full of Asian grocery, veg and produce. Easy entry and very clean. I found the freshest and cheapest Whole fruit Durian there. I wish they had more. They were sold out sooo quickly. I guess I was one of the lucky once to get one. Very friendly staff. Will go back there again. If you want anything Asian I would highly recommend going there.
Whole sale vegetables and food ingredients have been sale here. Do not come alone. It is much cheaper to share with your friends.
