"Sedgley Road Aquarium is a small family run business. The same family are still running it from the start, in our third generation for over 54 years.We sell everything you need for setting up a cold water tank, tropical tank, and outdoor pond.We sell a mixture of cold water fish indoor and outdoor and a wide range of tropical fish, as well as shrimp and other invertebrates. We also stock a range of plants for indoor and outdoor and a large range of treatments, and foods. We have a huge range of decor, substrates and more for your home aquaria. We have specialist cichlid rooms, as well as dedicated blocks for Betta, and shrimps.We are dog friendly"

Let me begin with the fact that 99% of the time me and my partner have visited this shop, we have had good experiences. however the most recent one has made me question going back.nnI went in to purchase a few Guppies for my tropical tank, we went at a quiet time of day and were the only people in there. I chose my fish and was happy with the choice they had. HOWEVER when the worker had gathered them out the tank and into the bag they dropped the bag from roughly shoulder height onto the floor, I know this is an accident and cant be avoided as it can happen. the fish luckily stayed in the bag but it did lose most water, no doubt this experience stressed the fish to no end. however I accepted this was an accident and paid for my fish and left.nn2 days later to no surprise one of the fish is now dead, I appreciate that they only have a 24hr guarantee but given the circumstances I though I would contact them and see what they had to say.nnMy partner called and was greeted by a rather abruptly rude man who reiterated to her it is only a 24hr guarantee but then stated that dropping the fish from shoulder height and losing almost all water in the bag would NOT harm the fish or stress it out, which I find very very hard to believe. and we were essentially fobbed off and that it was our problem to deal with which was incredibly disappointing considering all the praise and customer service that others have given.nnIt is quite sad for me as I have always enjoyed visiting this shop for the past few years and we were going to come in to purchase some fish to stock up my partners new tank 10 fish + but now I am really second guessing myself as it has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.nnI hope that they can learn from this and try to do better as the shop really is fantastic, but the service from certain individuals really leaves something to be desired...

The best aquarium shop ever. Staff explains all your questions which is very important if you are beginner and need some information and you can buy everything you need to start including tank. Fish and plants are always healthy and fresh. Definitely my favourite fish shop. The best

Visited today and was really impressed by the range of fish and products this shop stocks. The woman particularly impressed me sorry not sure of their names with there honest and professional manner. Thanks again!

It's such a great aquatics shop. The staff are very knowledgeable, the fish are looked after, it's reasonably priced. The only problem is that the car park is tiny, so once it's full, with 5 cars, you struggle to park anywhere
