The non recycling team for my road in Bridgwater are amazing. Polite, and always a smile - they are a great team and I hope their foreman/woman realises how good they are
I have spent the morning trying to get through to someone about my boiler not working. I was on call waiting for over an hour for the line to just cut out!!! Called back and another 30 minutes wasted! Thought ok I’ll wait until the office opens, I’m guessing they are not open today as lines not open when they should be so sat again waiting for someone from out of hours to answer. So far this call has been 45 minutes!! Absolute joke!!
Trying to notify change needed to direct debit for Lifeline service. Can't call them direct, no response to Lifeline Contact Us forms submitted and calling the general council number resulted in a message being taken because no one was available from the Lifeline depart to answer my query. Advised the person who took the message that I intended to cancel the existing direct debit. Lifeline web page says they will respond with 2 working days but still no contact in over two weeks. Have given up and just cancelled the DD. Now waiting for them to chase payment.
The staff were very easy to reach on the phone, they were very courteous and solved my problem within minutes.
Bridgwater is absolutely bicycle unfriendly. Across 6 months i had to change the inner tube countless times. Pavements looks like ashtray, rubbish scattered as far as eye can see. Being here 2 years ive never seen road sweepers apart from the centre or the ones by contruction sites, rest of the town depends on hihg winds. Personally i wouldn't be proud of representing this town
The staff never answer phone calls or emails. They hide behind excuses. I've even seen people end up on streets without any roof over their head due to their to non communication on their behalf. I would like to know why some of them are still working at home and not in the office? I've worked arm in arm with many district councils in the country but this one is by far the worst for incompetency.
keep on changing the goal posts with regard to the £150 council tax rebate. Don't they realise it's purpose is to help people pay towards winter gas bill.
Phone waiting times need to be addressed, im sure the council receive more than enough funds in council tax payments to employ a few more staff to reduce call waiting times. I have rarely been able to resolve my issues in one trip to their offices, a few staff are really good and helpful printed off what i need right away, the previous..... a more senior member of staff i seen a week prior told me "no we dont print off your rent statements for you, to look at, you have go online" that was Ester. So all depends what member of staff you see.
Made a call and got straight through to a call handler who managed to resolve my issues fast and efficiently. I have previously lived in North Somerset and whilst in that area could never get hold of anyone other than a third party company who handle all of the calls. with my business in Bristol I found Bristol city Council appalling it's impossible to get hold of anyone in Bristol.
paid more then 10 days ago for a sticker to go on my garden waste bin which I haven't received to date. I send packages abroad and it arrives before 10 working days. They are unable to sent a sicker within 10 working days. If they fail at sending a small sticker within 10 days then i can only assume they must fail at alot services. Bin men though the recycle bins on my drive and had to do an emergency stop which almost caused an accident.
