Sea View Caravan & Residential Home Park
"Seaview Holiday Park near Weymouth, Dorset boasts the best of locations: close to the picturesque Bowleaze Cove and the seaside town of Weymouth. As well as two beaches nearby, there’s two pools on the park, one open at selected times of the year; and the fun of two holiday parks. Seaview’s sister park, Weymouth Bay is just next door, and you can enjoy the activities on offer here including the brand-new Adventure Village ones coming in spring 2023, subject to final plans. It’s a 15-minute scenic walk to Bowleaze Cove, or a longer coastal walk to Weymouth seafront, where you’ll be rewarded with golden sand and seaside staples such as fish and chips and amusements. As the sun sets, head back to the park for an evening of entertainment."

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Haven Seaview. Our caravan was lovely and clean…we could park our car at the side which was important to us. The check in staff and security staff were very kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our caravan had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the location of the park with its elevated position and rural views…very relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you. Walkability: The park had paths that led from the park to the beach. Easily achievable and well worth the walk.
This was our first stay here in over 20 years. Whilst last time it was with our children, this time we took our young puppy with us. We really enjoyed the caravan park as a base but because dogs aren't allowed inside the buildings we went elsewhere to find our entertainment at dog friendly locations. The caravan was good value, great quality, warm and comfortable, although the twin bedrooms and bathrooms were quite compact. The caravan park was about a 15 minute walk to the beach where there was a cafe with outside covered seating. The park had a supermarket and there were 2 other shops nearby as well as three pubs and two fish and chip shops.
Booked specifically for the Safari tent experience. Arrived at 1pm and shown to my tent which was amazing, 2 rooms kitchen area and dining table as well as a terrace to sit outside and it's own BBQ. However what wasn't amazing was the construction taking place of new tents. There was drilling and hammering right next door super loud which was not conducive to a quiet week resting from pneumonia. There had been no mention of construction on the website, not in any correspondence provided. Had I known in advance I would have cancelled and requested a refund. After driving over 3hrs to get there I wasn't well enough to drive back. After speaking to reception I was offer a caravan but would have to wait until 6pm before it was available. I was given keys just after 5. The caravan was on the road on the way out right by the recycling bins. It was tightly packed between other vans and the noise carried. The van itself seemed worn and grubby with stains on the pillows and marks on the walls. There I was woken at 7am by the bin men emptying the bins. The site itself was small but had what you needed and the staff I spoke to were lovely. I have submitted a complaint about the accommodation as I didn't get what I bought and the solution wasn't comparable in my opinion. I should have been made aware in advance and given the option of refund or the caravan. Had I wanted that I would have booked one closer that had outside space.
100% recommend this Haven caravan site. We have has the best 4 days holiday. The entertainment staff are excellent with the kids both during the day events and the evening events. We thoroughly enjoyed Madhatters circus. That was the absolute highlight to the kids holiday. The park, facilities, show bar and caravan are kept clean and tidy. It's close drive to the beach, petrol stations, main stream shops for food. We will definitely be back for another holiday. Excellent check in, quick and easy and the van was available before our time which was even better. The security staff are also very polite and friendly which is also nice. Even though we are close to the main facilities it's not that noisy when everyone goes back to their vans after the showbar closes. But that could just be because we are not in the main school holiday week of October. 100% recommend and thank e everyone for an amazing holiday at Haven Seaview Weymouth.
The site itself is small but connected to a bigger site next door that you can walk to. Our caravan was very clean and comfortable for two adults and two children. We didn't have a sea view, think you needed to be higher up in the park for that. No restaurant but a Papa John's, Fish and Chip van and a small shop with all the essentials plus a Costa vending machine. We didn't book to use the swimming pools we didn't realize we had to you can from 4 weeks in advance but the pool is open most evenings on a first come first served basis and we never had issues with that. Although it would be good if the life guards stopped the bigger ones from getting in the baby area. On the site nextdoor there are so many activities you can book to do, Archery, Climbing Walls and an Air drop that my son did, all looked really new and was well run . One downside is the lack of WiFi/mobile network so be warned to check how much data you have. My son's both wanted their tablets to play on when we were stuck inside when it rained. You can get WiFi in the bar/amusements areas. The staff we encountered were all really helpful and friendly. The caravan was perfect for the four of us with one double and two singles a shower and two toilets, storage space was really good too. I would give it all a 4½
Arrived on Monday caravan was clean few holes in furniture, and flooring under the bed in the lounge. Staff were friendly in areas I visited. Cafe bar mash and barrel food is awful we had burgers on arrival day and they were burnt etc we left half of it, papa John's on Wednesday night lovely and hot this caravan does need it's own bus stop outside of it now. Entertainment was shocking to the point we made our own in the caravan. Walkability: Please do not come to this park if you have Mobility issues as it's in a hill
Over all it was a lovely place but the caravans are placed quite close together. Also, the week we stayed there a lot of people from the Traveller Community on the site so it was quite loud, heard a lot of swearing and people kept walking right past our door rather than walking around on the paths provided. We were also given Play Passes, but when my father took my children swimming he was told you had to book which we were not informed about before. They were kind and let them in after waiting a short while but it wasn't very well communicated before hand. There is absolutely no WiFi signal at all on site. It doesn't even locate a provider. Food & drinks: The fish and chip shop near the site was very good. Can highly recommend Stracey's.
On first sight was awesome ,checked into caravan only 4 away from clubhouse. Found some errors with clubhouse after the bingo entertainment just for kids night spots taken over by local singers but entertainment staff absolutely fantastic so much energy and buzz. Drinks a little expensive so recommend you bring your own .Rooms: 4/5
Accommodation was spotlessly clean. Kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery etc. The only negative we had was the Van's were far too close to each other so noise was an issue. Plus we were located by a side gate so were plagued by tractors in and out of the site not keeping to the site speed limit of 9.5 mphRooms: 5/5
Stayed here first weekend of the season for a short weekend break. The staff on arrival were really welcoming, the site was clean and tidy on driving to our caravan. We were situated nice and close to the complex which was great! We chose to have dinner the first night in the dinner/ pub in the arcade area. My friends and I ordered a mixed grill £17.99! My advice don’t bother!! Under cooked sausage to the point I think we could of been unwell and a chicken breast cut in halfadvertised a whole one The food was barely hot, to be fair the manager was amazing and refunded the difference as I changed my meal to a burger and then that came out barley hot. It’s overpriced food and needs serious improvement or someone will be unwell!! Papa johns on the other hand was fantastic nice and hot with plenty of flavour and much better value for money! Top effort papa johns team! The arcade and club was good with a good choice of games and beers etc. our swimming was cancelled the day before with no notification but the amazing pool team did squeeze us in, clearly the app was playing up ? The entertainment was different, having been going to a haven holiday for over 15 years I have to say the change is not good! 30 mins of a technology screen based production and no opportunities for photos with the characters. This was followed by a Ned and polly disco again no characters all on a large screen, I know things have to change but this isn’t the best choice! The whole thing screams paw patrol. Rory’s shop was open but the new character products are really expensive a small Annie elephant soft toy is £10, so take plenty of spending money. The whole site just wasn’t ready for the season under trained staff and dirty in appearance in places, it’s a shame I have heard such good things about this park… The caravan I cannot fault this was lovely and clean on arrival and nice and warm with central heating. All in all for the money we paid it was ok but had I have paid a lot more I wouldn’t of been so impressed, this won’t put me off haven but won’t return to sea view. I know it’s the first weekend of a mad season but you have had all winter to ensure you can be ready so I struggle to understand the issues we had. Thanks to the staff who were doing the best they could under the pressure….
