The scarecrow is very well decorated and cozy. The staff were very kind and welcoming m. The food was a very good price for the quality. The service was very fast and large options of food and drinks. They had a very large selection on cakes, overall a very good experience.Recommended dishesShrimp Cocktail, Coconut Shrimp, Macaroni and Cheese with Chips and Salad, Burger, Schoko Cake with Ice, Soup of the Day, Steak Pie, Crab Cake, Balmoral Chicken, Tempura, Halloumi Fries, Beef Burger with Chips, Baklava, Burrata, Fish Tacos, Passion Fruit, Pan-Seared Seabass, Haggis Bon Bons, Schnitzel, Prawn Cocktail
Amazing food and ambiance. Staff were dead nice too. Planning to go back and bring my family and friends over for food. Definitely a 10/10 Food: 5/5
Went for dinner starters lovely halllomi fries and haggis bon bons. Steak for main wasn't great for 27 pound cut was poor very fatty appearance on plate poor. Fish was other main was lovely no issues. The salt and chilli chips were great. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Overall nice wasn't worth 70 pound and if I'm honest don't think I would come back or recommend to other's.
Absolutely loved it! The food was delicious I can't recommend it enough. Lovely and cosy and decorated beautifully. Friendly staff. We will be back for that delicious Balmoral chicken. Thank you all. Kid-friendliness: While we were there a couple came in with a child in a pram. So there is space to bring a young child. Parking: There is parking nearby in market Square which is a very short walk. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance and helpful staff that would be happy to help you if needed.
First visit to this place we went there for dinner with friends who live locally and we was not disappointed food was great and service was swift and friendly. Would happily go again and recommend. Kid-friendliness: As soon as we sat down staff came over and brought colouring book and pens for the little one
It's a great little restaurant, with large windows looking onto the pedestrianised main street, food was lovely and you can pop through to the lounge for drinks after your meal. The restaurant is completely separate from the lounge bar, which is nice. reasonably priced food and set menus, the food is hand made, freshly prepared and the chips are heavenly .
Lunch was delicious, sea bass just perfection and also fish and chips. Friendly price staff. Highly recommend.
Lovely staff and service. Good food served fresh.Food: 5/5
Omg I can't stop thinking about the soup butternut squash, chilli & pepper I think that's what it was called, I just know it was amazing get if you have a cold lol.Food: 5/5
I had high hopes for this place, however I was a little disappointed with the whole experience. We ordered a burger and a curry. The burger was cooked well, but as it was steak I was not asked how I wanted it cooked. The burger was not left to rest enough and so the bottom of the bun was quite soggy. A positive note; the chips and onion rings were nice. The curry was bland, unseasoned and left lacking a proper oomph to its taste. Between mains and dessert, a condiment pot was dropped on the floor, it was immediately picked up and handed to the chef who put it back to be used instead of washing it. This really bugged me so I had to tell the staff. The desserts were good, but I was a little bemused as to why they put fresh strawberries on a raspberry cheesecake. The cocktail drinks were so-so, the strawberry daiquiri lacked flavour but the mockjito was nice.
