When I visited it had been cleaned up as there was a fun day organized by Friends of Sawley Park. Good outdoor area to watch local football Entertain your children or exercise

Excellent day at the sawley Park fun day.nWell done to Friends of Sawley Park for organising and all who made the day a huge success.
It's a beautiful park with complete green grass in the garden there are many facilities and playing things for children and adults, it's a good place to spend time peacefully .
Great park for many age groups. Two big problems with it though:n1 no fence to keep wandering young children off paths and roads.n2 it's popular with young teens as a hangout area, meaning it becomes littered quickly with cans and bottles.nNot enough of a problem to stop us coming here frequently :
