Been a few times when i was younger when this place first opened .Since then its been a strange one to visit .The food depends on what you order .Went recently with my family and it led me to this review. The waiters looked like they would rather be anywhere but there and even do we asked to be served the waiter looked half awake and we had to ask politely 3 times before he came over to take our order . The starters was good ordered mutton rolls which were piping hot and then ordered a chicken biryani and Mutton Chukka which was superb .Food was spicy and bit pricey compared to other places locally .Would i go again yes but it would not be my number one choice .
We had dinner in Sathiams twice. Both times the food was excellent. my favorite starter was mushroom salt n pepper. The staff is very friendly and does everything to make you feel at home. Meals are authentic Indian and the price is very low for the quality that is being offered.Whenever you are in the neighbourhood, close to Eastham Underground station don't hesitate and have dinner here! Enjoyed prawn starters, lamb and chicken mains with rice and naan was very tasty the service was good and pleasant. Very reasonable price and good service.
I went there tonight with my husband. It was very quiet but only a monday night so didn't think it would be busy. We ordered the spinach and paneer, devil potatoes, two chicken curries. All was deliciously fresh tasting. Really great use of spices. I recommend, we were so pleasantly surorised and the staff were so friendly and the food came up in good time.
Booked for a party with 50% high package price meals and hall compared to other restaurants, was expecting higher service. Very disappointed, especially with the owner 1. 2 balloons each table, no flowers in the vases. Not worth it for even £1 per table. 2. Chair cover charge as an addition. Normally it was with their package from 2-3 people who booked earlier 3. No Air condition at all, was burning inside. Given an excuse as it wasn't working that day - same excuse was in a party in 2014. so They didn't want to on the AC. kids were crying 4. water dropping from the top, wet floor, dangerous for kids. Sunny day 5. Each tables had either 1 coke or i bottle of water. Guest should share from others. Was told, given Mango juice, but mixed with orange juice - totally rubbish 6. Paid for number of adult and kids who are invited and number of table reserved, but they calculated more people than I invited - not listening anyone and not even count the empty seats. 7. Foods are ok, but starters are too hot/spicy. However nice food NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
I don't have an option to give "0" stars otherwise I would have. Let me start review with good points...... Hmm.... I spent nearly 10 minutes trying to re-collect but I cant find any.. Oh yeah , finally here is one - Decent Size and looks good at night in particular because of ambience with Christmas lights etc.. Now let me list the bits that i tried and did not like - Mind you , these were all tried and tested. We booked a large table for 15 members in the downstairs seating area. Upon entry everyone in our group commented upon lack of fresh air and was full of damp smell due to very poor hygiene standards. It doesn't have ventilation facility. The management was careless despite being informed. The hand wash basin surroundings is full of black spots which means mould. Adding to that there was no hot water connection. this is pure negligence considering the outside temperature was below 2°C. Now let us talk about food - ALL items were full of artificial colours. The mint yogurt was so green, it is impossible to get that colour no matter how much green leaves were made into paste. The veggie & chicken curries we ordered were so dark red, it was obvious for all of us that excessive food colour was used. upon speaking to the management he tried to convince that they used chilli powder and DID NOT use food colours. - WE ALL KNEW HE WAS LYING. The deep fried items were never strained properly for excessive oil. We decided to squeeze them gently on the tissue to get rid of dripping fat.. Biriyani was SALTY and tasted extremely artificial. I must admit that the NAAN Bread was good though! The waiters were working hard and they were very friendly and polite. We had to be gentle with poor quality cutlery and none of us took the risk of holding them firm due to the risk of bending. They could have bought from POUNDLAND at least, which is far superior quality in comparison. Conclusion: PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THE LOOKS OR FOR BEING SPACIOUS. DO I VISIT AGAIN? - NO , NEVER. DO I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE? - NOT REALLY.
Pathetic. I have had visited this restaurant two times within last 2 months. Every time I eat there, it makes my stomach upset. Though the ambience looks great, I doubt the cleanliness or the ingredients that use. Must avoid.
I never seen such a worst restaurant in my life. they restaurant look nice but not the food, don't go by looks, because we made the same mistake , we made a party there, they played a cheap trick in the food, they cook the worst tasting food ever, so that nobody eats n so that they don't need to refill, all the food was left as it is, no one touched it.they take deposit and your estimated bill in advance, they charge each n everybody even infants, even though they don't eat.plz never eat in sathiyaams, you'll disappoint very badly, you'll lose money and you'll not have any food.
One and only place where you get authentic Indian food... if you really like South Indian or north Indian food this is the best place amongst any other restaurant in east ham.... trust me I mean it. Ps : this is a genuine comment and I am not a friend or relative to the people who run the business They are the cheapest on price for the tasty food comparing to any other Indian restaurant in eastham .... Try it to believe it.... my honest suggestion is to go there on weekends to avoid disappointment even though they are busy you will definitely get a seat...
Fantastic and friendly service by manager and team. We always prefer this restaurant in East ham because of ambience and Madras chicken curry with chilli naan. This is my all-time favourite in this restaurant. Try mango lessy and its mouth watering
Very lovely place, food is really delicious. Manager with rest of staff create a friendly atmosphere. I like to eat there very much.
