We are an Italian family run Independant restaurant in the centre of Harrogate. We serve authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist in elegant, friendly surroundings.

Story

Sasso Restaurant opened in 1998. It is run by husband and wife team Sara and Stefano Lancellotti.

The restaurant is named after the home town of head chef Stefano Lancellotti. Sasso Marconi is a small town just outside Bologna in Emilia Romagna and only an hour's drive from Florence.

Sasso is a restaurant aimed at providing authentic Italian cuisine and has a strong Bolognese influence in its cooking. Bologna is the central city in the region Emilia Romagna. The region is renowned for it's Parmesan cheese, Prosciutto ham and most importantly, it's fresh egg pasta.

We found this restaurant by accident and they were able to find us a table. They had sanitizers and we were safely distant from other diners. Staff were friendly and we had excellent service. The food was absolutely delicious and really good value for money. Would highly recommend it.
Never disappointed in here, still my favourite restaurant in Harrogate.....
The place was nice, service ok, food lovely but it would have been nice if when being told of the special fish of the day, they would mention the price. It was lovely but not worth £24.50!!. Left disappointed and felt ripped off! Would have given more stars if they had been more honest.
We had a fantastic dinner in a romantic ambient. The fish was awesome. The presentation of the dishes and the combination of flavour was perfect.
Fantastic restaurant . The food was amazing the chief also sent out a few little taster treats . Very good value for money . Only fault there isn't a sasso where I live !!
