If you are looking for something to do, whether solo or a group, Sandown bicycle hire will kit you out with everything you need to explore of the island on two wheels. 
The rates are very reasonable and advice given on routs and places.  Extremely friendly and helpful. And really nice and well maintained bikes too.
There's also a volley ball court and beach equipment to buy or hire.  Excellent!

I needed a replacement inner tube on Sunday - quick phone call and i popped round - all sorted. Lots of bikes for hire - kids and adults. Very knowledgable about the cycle trails on the island, of which there are many - if you fancy a family day out cycling the old disused railway lines look no further
