We hired the function suite for an event, and even though I live locally we stayed overnight for convenience.nI attend regular events at the hotel so knew the restaurant was good and service above average.nOur room was spacious and well equipped with toiletries and the bed very comfortable but neither I nor my husband thought much of the pillows. Small and quite lumpy.nI would also have preferred a proper size bath towel but that’s being picky as they were adequate.nOverall the hotel offers great value for money and the location is fantastic for the city centre.nThe staff were all very efficient and helpful.
Second time I have stayed at the Sandman and it has become my firm favourite for my regular business trips to Aberdeen.The staff are so friendly and very helpful and nothing is too much trouble thank you Lucy!.nThe rooms are spacious and well appointed and the bed is really comfortable! I used the Spa on this trip and had a wonderful, really relaxing and informative session with Liam, and will definitely use this service again, time permitting.nChop Bar and restaurant is fantastic - the beef and ginger rice bowl is amazing! Really nice, casual and friendly atmosphere where I spent a couple of hours working, after my early arrival for check in.nAll in all, this hotel is the best choice in Aberdeen centre and the cost is infinitely reasonable for what you receive in return!nThanks to the whole team!
Absolutely Fantastic Hotel!nnThis was our second time staying at the Sandman Hotel in a suite, and once again, everything was absolutely spectacular!nnWe absolutely love this hotel and honestly wouldn’t choose to stay anywhere else now. The suites are fantastic, spacious, comfortable and perfect for families. Everything was spotless and the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish.nnThe breakfast was superb, with plenty of choice and something for everyone. The staff were also so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.nnIt’s such a fantastic family-friendly hotel, and we always feel so comfortable and well looked after here.nnWe will definitely be back again — we wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Highly recommend the Sandman Hotel to families and anyone looking for a fantastic stay.
We had been let down last minute by a booking through Booking.com so had to find alternative accommodation quickly. For the same price we booked 2 nights in a suite at The Sandman.nnThe staff were friendly and helpful. The room - with extra seating area and small kitchen - was comfortable and it really enhanced our stay.nnWe ate at the restaurant - again the staff were great and we felt relaxed there - it had a very positive ambience.nnWe would recommend.
I’d heard good things about this hotel but after a four night stay have to say that, for the price, it felt rather average. The lobby is an impressive space but the room itself was rather small and cramped and could do with some attention. The decor was fun but the door of the wardrobe appeared to be missing and the fridge was empty. There was a microwave though which was surprising for such a small room. There’s good heating but no air-conditioning. The shower was very spacious and the exposed brickwork unique, but storage space around the sink was limited. The toiletries were nice though and in good dispensers. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor is a nice space and not too expensive given the vibe.nnOverall its a smart hotel and I’d consider again if the price was right but the entry level room was just a bit too cramped to be super comfortable.
