Three things to review. The Cider : Authentic and excellent Sam's dry. Best Cider I have ever tasted The tour : Great behind the scenes tour with Cider tasting : shows why the Cider is so good. The cafe : Had a cooked breakfast while waiting to start the tour. Good ingredients cooked perfectly. They also have a shop which sells ...... Cider! and a lot more gifts, cards. The people are friendly and helpful.
Not a great experience, yes, I suppose it was my fault for not having scoured the website to see that the cafe closed at 3..... But they could have told me there was a cafe that was open about 400 yards away!!

Great little place, We first sampled Sam's Cider around the corner at The King's Arms, and had to visit the shop. All of Sam's ciders available either bottled, or poured from the barrel, as well as a good selection of other local produce and gifts. The staff member who served us actually pointed out a tiny chip in a mug we were buying, and recommended we picked out a different one! I know a lot of places would have just wrapped it up, for us to assume we'd damaged it in transport.
The Cider is really tasty, plenty of flavour options about £2.50 a 330ml bottle, you can buy single, gift boxes of 3 assorted flavours or a crate of 12 assorted flavours. Range from scrumpy, crisp, fruit flavoured - the BlackBerry was delicious, however my favourite was the crisp. Plenty of parking, good size shop, however the downside - not able to sample taste any of the products - so if you're not a cider drinker you won't know what to buy and probably won't, no customer toilets or hand washing facilities. They do host events, it's a shame their out door bar and seating wasn't in operation, for a cool cider during the visit.
We first had Sam's cider at a restaurant and loved it. We came across the main brewery one day and brought a bag in box and it is absolutely great cider. The shop is great and you can do tasting to work out which you like. The shop has loads of other nice bits and bobs too. All in all a great place to go if you like cider.
Wide range of top quality Devon Ciders. I love the medium sweet Autumn Gold Scrumpy. Go have a taste if you like your Cider you will enjoy quality products that Sam's produces. The service is great and very knowledgeable and will point you to a Cider you will not be disappointed in .
Best Cider in the West Country, especially the Blackcurrant Cider! Always plenty of range in the shop of cider and other bits! Always stop at Sam's when on a trip to Exeter from Bideford
