First all of, very clean very tasty staff friendly. Hasan firstly chips is not oily fish is not oily. If you never tried here's fish and chips you must. Thank you and fresh salad fresh people:
Top Quality Chippy in South Woody! We are so lucky to have these guys down the road from us. The food is always on point, being very tasty and cooked exactly how you want it. My wife likes the chips to be cooked a little bit extra and they always provide amazing chips during every visit we have made. The fish are top quality too. The lads are super friendly too and make you feel at ease when you enter. It’s almost like you’ve known them all your life and they are always willing to help with whatever it is you may need. The entire shop, kitchen, table and serving area are super clean! I’ve never actually seen a cleaner chippy than Woods. They are always on it and have a 5/5 hygiene score. As I was passing by one evening I waved to say hi and as I did they stopped me and asked me to come over into the shop. They had an unwrapped free kebab to give me due to it being left from a previous customer who no longer wanted it. The fact that they made the effort to call me over to give it to me was a really nice gesture. The kebab was amazing, especially with it being free of charge too. Highly recommend them if you’re around in the area and fancy a chippy.
Always good fish and chips here, we get it once every week or fortnight. Chips are old school, which is great and the fish always fresh out the fryer. Once a month we'd get the mixed doner, it's the best in the area. Staff are always friendly. Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
The best staff - they interact with you and treat you like a friend and not a customer, really love it each time I come here. The price is Good and the food is better, the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the chips are outstanding, the kebab is freshly made, the shish kebab, just like the burger is cooked on coal and it's the best food you'll eat for a fair price! Over all you won't be disappointed with anything, you can bring in your own wine or beer in my. experience I've never been told no, it's a lovely place and lovely food Edit: Forgot to mention that the place is extremely clean and you got sauces as well as salt pepper and vinegar at your table to use as u please
My gosh what took me So long to get my fish and chips here. Delicious chips tasted superb and as for my haddock cooked to perfection.
The food is outstanding! the customer service from the men behind the counter is also amazing! all round lovely place! WOULD 1000000% RECOMMEND

We just stayed at Woods tonight. We took two portions of takeaway fish and chips, both the fish and the fries were of very good quality. The portions are generous and the staff are very nice. I recommend this place to everyone!
Lovely service, we only had to pay at end and kept adding drinks and extra bits of food throughout the meal. Outdoor tables a bonus on a sunny autumn lunchtime! Very reasonable prices too, food was tasty, hot and mmm, lahmacun...Food: 5/5
Was 5 star. Now 4 star. Under new management and the quality has dropped. The fish is more oily now. However the chips are still really nice. It's still a good fish and chips and the best in the immediate area imo. But a short drive gets you a better one. Staff are cool.
