The experience I had on 09/07/2024 has resulted in me leaving a 5 star review. I met with the doctor regarding concerns about pcos. Welcomed with a friendly smile, she gave me all of my options, talking through all the pros and cons of the medication we have agreed on. She took the time to listen to me, validate my feelings and educate me on the condition. It is the first time I have left a GP appointment feeling empowered as a woman. I forgot to take her name but she is a true trailblazer for women in the medical field. A true testament to the surgery!
Managed to get an 11am appointment with the doctor…nI arrived there 5-10mins early and waited well over an hour to be seen!nApparently there was an emergency earlier this morning? Yeah right… even if this is the case, UPDATE US VIA TEXT OR WHEN WE ARRIVE TELL US OF THE DELAY!!??nn…anyway! When I was finally seen by the doctor I was told a prescription order would be sent to my local pharmacy from themselves within 2 hours.nI went to the pharmacy after 1 hour and they didn’t receive any message.nAnother 2+ hours later totalling to 3+ hours now, after I was told it wouldn’t take longer than 2 hours I rang the pharmacy to see if they have received anything and the answer was no, they told me they would contact me as soon as they have it.nnIt’s now 7:30pm! Everywhere is closed and I am in great discomfort & pain. I haven’t received my prescription and will now have to go through the effort of calling up doctors and chasing it all up tomorrow whilst being VERY unwell.nnThis is beyond a joke and yet again another shockingly terrible experience at this practice…nnI think the only thing that didn’t p*ss me off, was a young light skinned member of staff who was just really smiley, friendly & polite… she looked mixed race to me and I’m not sure why but she made my day a little better,.
Worst surgery. Has gone down over time. Never able to get an appointment. Reception staff are clueless, don't acknowledge your standing there they will be chatting amongst themselves. Dont ever answer the phones.nHad an appointment at saltley surgery once I arrived was told the dr had gone to fernbank once reached fernbank had found out after 40nMins of waiting dr isnt here and my appointment can be re arranged by staff member ikra dr then arrived one hour late.nHad another appointment where was booked in for telephone triage at 15:20 and recieved telephone call at 5:30pmnWas told by Hamad the receptionist this isnt a telephone appointment and is a call back when doctors are free.nReceptionist at fernbank are arrogant and not Welcoming, and not ready to help.nOld reception staffing needs to be brought back and new ones need to be trainednDifficult to get an appointment as waiting in the queue past 25 mins for the phone to be disconnected.nSurgery is failing overall.
Very rude receptionistnI rang about 8 o clock morning time for appointment and waited half hour in queue and when she picked the phone up she spoke to me so rudely and said we ain’t have any appointments and told me just one appointment is available that’s at 9 o clock and when I said okay confirm it she said nah that’s gone now. It was looking like she was having a bad day and she wanted the day bad for everyone else as well .so disappointed
I brought my child here on 15th July 2024 as child had foot pain, the doctor looked at my child's foot and dismissed it as nothing with no swelling or deformaties and told to just do exercises and pain relief.nnHad a follow up appointment this morning at another practice where the doctor checked the foot properly and found obvious foot deformaty and advised my child has bunion, now we have to go for an x-ray, referral to foot doctor and bloods. The opposite of what doctor said at Satley Heath.
