Earlier this month I had the Xmas burger and chocolate orange cheesecake with some naughty cocktails. I was in an altered state afterwards. Good value for money. Prompt and courteous service in a beautiful granite stone building - Cornish build at its best.
As always a delicious meal from start to finish, with great presentation, excellent Service in a lovely setting and atmosphere! I would book a table ahead to avoid disappointment. Parking in boundary carpark a short walk from Salt Bar.
Lovely food if you eat fish and meat, but only a spicy bean burger if you’re vegetarian. The bean burger was very mushy and lacked substance. The food is served nicely but the minute portion of coleslaw and lack of vegetables or salad as an option is disappointing. The food is nice but not a balanced healthy meal. The internet connection isn’t great in that area, it would help if the restaurant offered wifi. Sadly, most restaurants fail to share on their menu wifi information and access code. My partner who eats meat enjoyed his food but like me, was disappointed at the lack of side dishes available.
After a long day at the beach with the family my wife went looking for a local restaurant to us after getting the GWR back from ST Ives to Healey.nSpeaking with the staff they accommodated for us having the dog that day and was able to seat us.nI must say the service and most of all the food was excellent.nEveryone in my group was saying the food was amazing.nBurgers bangingnFlat bread bangingnKorean bbq pork bangingnLoaded fries bangingnA must go to restaurant.
We really enjoyed our dinner here as a group of three. Each of us had a drink, and the total came to around £90 for two starters, two mains, and a kids’ meal. Not exactly cheap, but still better value than what you’d usually find in London or Kent.nnThe seafood dishes were definitely the highlight—much tastier than the surf and turf burger, which made sense since seafood was what we came for.nnThank you for the experience! If we visit St. Ives again, we’d happily return—though we’d make sure to book a table next time. We didn’t have a reservation and had to wait until 7pm for reserved tables to be served before being seated at a free table.
