I had Yaki Soba noodles with vegetables and choice of meat/no meat 6.80--8.80 P. The dish is not that big, but satisfactory. Strong taste. Good quality. Plus three rolls for dessert 2.80 P. --- Fast service. Pleasant atmosphere. I could not figure out the opening hours, but I noticed they have delivery service.
This restaurant surprises me. It's delicious, especially in the restaurant. It's warm and the service is good. She was very happy to bring my friend with her and we had a wonderful evening.
The staff is really friendly, specially the young waitress girl. The food was really authentic and incredibly tasty. The best miso soup I ever had so far. The atmosphere was really enjoyable, reasonable prices, fast service. We had a great time, Arigato gozaimasu! :
We were pleasantly surprised at the start of our meal, with delicious warm sake, gyoza and miso soup all great. Unfortunately the sushi is awful, probably one of the first times I didn't want to finish it. Too much rice on the nigiri and was overcooked and very dense/stodgy. We ordered a 'luxury' selection which turned out just to be regular salmon and tuna sushi with one white fish which had a slight taste of cleaning fluid. Lastly we ordered the fried udon with prawns which was tasty. Not bad for some dishes but definitely avoid the sushi.
This isn't an expensive or glamorous restaurant, but it isn't trying to be. The sushi and sashimi here are excellent and that's why you should come here. When we eat there the place was full, however service was prompt and we enjoyed a huge platter for two £18 that was as filling as it was tasty. The prices are more than reasonable, you certainly get as much for your money as you do in some of the larger Japanese food chains and the owners are polite. For a quick and healthy sit down meal, there aren't any better places on Burton Rd.
I ordered last night sushi and noodles for myself and my partner, the worst food ever!! almost £40 thrown in the bin. Disgusting sushi! I only ate three pieces and my stomach hurts. This restaurant should not sell food, rice was sticky and not fresh, edamame were yellow and noodles were probably cooked two days earlier. I’ve never complained in my life, but I don’t think anyone can eat food like that.
Ordered on deliveroo - £23 for 16 pieces of ‘luxury’ sushi. It was warm like it had been left in a car on a hot day, two less than a5 size trays arrived and it was utterly sub-standard. The tuna was slimy too. Considering it was the luxury one, only 3 types of sushi present. Ordered for two, didn’t feel even slightly satisfied after and we ended up making an actual dinner after as still so hungry! Don’t like leaving negatives, but, wish we could have got our money back, bloody awful.
I have came back late from work yesterday so I decided to order some takeaway from this restaurant. I ordered some salmon sashimi, sushi platter and seafood ramen. The salmon sashimi tasted really fresh and I can tell as I ordered the same item from other japanese restaurants and they always had this funny stench but there were no such stench from the sashimi in this restaurant. The seafood ramen's broth was really refreshing as it was not overly salty so you can really taste the seafood like calamari. They gave me a lot of seafood includong prawns and calamari and the noodles were springy and smooth making it pleasant to chew and swallow and it was able to grab the broth well which elevated its taste. The sushi platter came in big portions which was also really fresh like the salmon sashimi. The price was reasonable and cheap considering how big the portions are. I would definitely order from this restaurant again.
I have recently visited this restaurant as I have always been a fan of japanese food and upon my recent experience, I can honestly say that it was one of the best foods I have ever had. The sushi was really fresh and the soy sauce and wasabi they provided made it even better really brought out just how fresh and delicious it tasted. I also ordered katsu curry and as I expected, it was very good. The breading on the katsu curry was crunchy but not oily at all like most deep fried food which helped to bring out the taste of the chicken which was nicely seasoned and the sauce complimented the chicken well as it gave it a tangy and a little spicy bite. It also helped when mixed in with the rice as it made it easier to eat. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend visiting here. Can't wait to be back when I am in the area again.
I went here because my usual sushi place was closed and I really wish I hadn't: the portion size was pitiful given the extortionate price I paid. It smelled very fishy, which fresh sushi shouldn't. When I sniffed the salmon it had that 'fruity' smell that fish gets when it's past its best, and then when I bit into it I knew why - it was rotten. I'm appalled at the quality of the food and disappointed that I spent so much. I have a feeling I'm going to be ill tonight as a result of the bit I tasted. I clearly won't be back here and would recommend that you avoid at all cost.
