It's OK. Tills were a bit of a pain and did not read the bar codes very well. Limited choice. I cannot stand the fact that they only offer limited cold drinks. Stop taking my choice away
Been there for having some drinks n snacks before heading to beach. Very clean though. Shelves full of stock. Everything was fine until I went to checkout. Staff is not very friendly or helpful. Attitude is their first key to show customers who they’re. Very strange for me. I was just visitor there so left that place n leave that matter for locals to make it right as they’re daily users. Still giving 3stars for other positive things
Before I make my main point, I must state that the store manager is exceptional in her role and has assisted me on a few occasions. A very friendly person whose customer service skills are second to none. Unfortunately, a number of other staff members fall short on customer care - one particular female worker was chatting away to the security guard about her previous role at BHS whilst oblivious to my presence when I required assistance - The security guard on duty today was rude and intimidating - some may argue he is doing his job but the amount of times I was made to feel uneasy by this individual is nothing short of discrimination. Whilst I was browsing some items today, he approached me, says “excuse me” and proceeded to tidy up the items I was viewing. Disgraceful and unnecessary!
Absolutely disgusting customer service. They refused to sell us alcohol because I 27 years old didn’t have an ID on me just my friend 35 years old. We had 4 drinks, I was gonna have sparkling water, and San Pellegrino lemon, my friend’s picked 2 beers. They said because I got to the counter first they’ll assume that all the drinks were for me. Then I suggested we’ll leave the premise and go in again if it helps their mind, but they’ve turned my suggestion down saying they know all the drinks were for me. People like them should not be allowed to talk to customers.
nothing extraordinary but high prices. kinda dead but did you really expect it to be amazing like the costa coffee next to ossies?
Adhering to current covid regulations but ignoring customers. Used self checkout as ditected but order needed assistance. Waited 7mins with staff in earshot discussing Christmas plans and not assisted I'm on crutches and cannot wait that lo g indoor as uncomfortable. Very disappointed in the visit
I'd like to thank the kindness of the staff at Sainsbury's Local. Yesterday we spent the day at Whitstable, it was our beautiful little dog's birthday and it was getting close to her dinner time. I asked for already cooked rice but it needed 2 mins in a microwave. The gentleman, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to go up to the staff room and heat the rice for me. Not only did he do that with a big smile and willingness, he came back with a Birthday dog treat too for our Kizzy. Thank you so much for going above and beyond the call of duty. I hope you receive staff member of the month and win the lottery. I wish I'd taken your name.
limited selection obviously but still have all the essentials. Only issue, like all supermarkets, why does 40yo adult need to wait 5 minutes for a 18yo to verify he is over 18 to buy a energy drink?
The prices in this Sainsbury’s are ridiculous, shelves are often found lacking and whatever is on the shelve is often marked up higher then other supermarkets in the area which I find to be unreasonable and the shelf checkouts are 50/50 wether they’re open or not
Open late daily. Great perk especially on Sundays. Although just a local it receives a lot of footfall so can be quite busy and stocks can be dwindled
