Great produce and clean store. The prices are increasing rapidly. Every time we visit the store the prices have gone up. Helpful and friendly staff.
Plenty of products to choose from, not just food but also many other uncommon daily items such as household appliances, garden-related items, and many other categories. The supermarket is huge, so you end up finding something always you need on a daily basis. The only downside is the lack of cashout tills, as the queues are always long but they only keep one till open most of the time, furthermore issues with purchases and long wait times. There is plenty of car park space, and Argos is also located inside the shop, expanding the range of items available even further.
Experience was okay until we got to the till, enquired about blue light discount and a lady called Jacqui said no very quick and abruptly - she wasn’t the lady serving us but perhaps due to seniority replied for her colleague - I then checked on my blue light account that the discount is valid for vouchers and online this would have been better explained rather than an abrupt no I left the shop feeling embarrassed, please do better next time.
Used this shop and petrol station for years but it really seems to be going downhill now. Too many times have I bought items, got them home and found either the date is short - like use by today short but not discounted or as happened on my visit today, items from the chill cabinet are unpacked and found to be damaged and leaking and have to go straight in the bin, despite packing them carefully before driving home.nNow I'm sure some will say I should check and I usually do, but really, it has happened too often and is just poor stock display and who can afford to throw food away these days?nnWhy should I take two hours over my weekly shop to check everything I pick-up when these items shouldn't be on the shelf to begin with?nnI'll be shopping elsewhere from now on unless I feel the urge to spend half a day walking around double-checking items I'm considering buying.
Lovely staff, I wanted an item of clothing but it wasn’t in stock in my size so the lovely ladies Sam and Natasha got the correct size clothing off one of the Mannequins for me. Greatly appreciated x
