Great place to socialise or chill. The vibe there is amazing. My most recent visit was early doors for breakfast so it was a bit quiet, but still a great place to sit and chill. Got a lovely retro vibe feel to it, almost shabby chique.nAll round great for a quick bite, a drink or more. Bike nights in summer too on a Thursday, although my bike is 250 mile north of here
It's a Sainsbury's, clean and tidy decent range for what is a smaller store. Reasonable sized carpark and very fair prices. Not enough tills open and to reliant on self service tills or would have been 5 stars.
These guys handled the Spring Bank Holiday rush like absolute pros!nI arrived around 15-20 minutes to closing to grab a basket and it was absolute pandemonium see video, with queues reaching the entire length of the shop.nAs always, us Brits leave everything until the last minute, I felt so sorry for the staff when people were still flooding in at 5 to close.nnThey handled everyone efficiently and excellently with dilligence, whilst remaining polite and professional.nnI was extremely impressed when, by the time I went through the till one of the last few to leave, the place was empty! See imagenThey had somehow done the impossible and managed to get everyone through the tills and out before official closing time.nI've never seen shopping success like it haha.nnEven though it was closing time, after purchasing, the staff offered to help me pack and made sure I was ok getting out with my walking frame.nnThey were very patient and polite with me, even though I'm sure they were exhausted after that and desperate to get home and have a cup of tea!nnIt's never usually this manic, and they handled this situation so well as I'm sure they will continue to do so at other rush times/occasions.nnI have nothing but good words for this store, they are my local and extremely accommodating.nLovely toilets, spacious isles and an Argos with seating in and outdoors.nnHighly recommended.
Unjustifiably high prices that seem to rise daily, likely the most expensive in Cornwall. The atmosphere is unwelcoming, with impolite staff and intrusive security who make customers feel watched rather than valued. Not the standard you'd expect for the premium you pay.
It's clean well stocked and airy. I just like the store
