I've been doing a weekly shop here for years and the store has definitely gone 'down hill' in that time. The fruit and veg is now often well past its best and sometimes literally rotten as can be seen in these photos of 3 different types of orange on sale today! Removing best before and sell by dates on fruit and veg has worked out great for the store because they don't have to throw away old stock, it's just sold to us to throw away when we get home and find it inedible! I also shop for 2 elderly people who prefer ready meals but I often find that the 'use by' dates on these are for today only so you can't buy 2 or 3 to last the week. I really am thinking of shopping elsewhere.

CatastrophicnWe were stuck for 3 hours in the parking lot, impossible to get out on a Sunday 01/06 at the end of the morning, unacceptable that the store manager did not do anything to direct traffic.nnWe will never come back.

Do not order from here.  I was 10 minutes away from my caravan and driver refused to wait for me to get back and drove off.  Saw him as he went and didn't answer phone.  By time CS got hold of him he'd left the area.  Totally unacceptable

Overall Sainsbury's is a good store, there is lots of products on offer from clothes to frozen foods.nnWe like looking through the seasonal section along with the home and toy section.nnThere are plenty of tills available which is useful whether it's for a large or quick shop.nnThere are a few disabled parking spaces at the front of the shop with a zebra crossing making it easier for customers to get to their cars, rather than playing chicken.nnThe downside to the area is that at peak times it can take 20 minutes or more to get out of Sainsbury's and so would suggest going at quieter times

I used to love Sainsburys. Yesterday evening I did a large shop in store in Taunton, only to find no manned tills open, just the self scans. Horrendous. There was only one obvious staff member trying hard to help everyone. There were lots of flashing lights with people needing help and many including me becoming increasingly frustrated with the delays. I loathe self scans and if I had realised sooner I wouldnt have bothered shopping there at all. I wont be back. Need to get your act together Sainsburys.   Some of us prefer a good old fashioned till manned with a smily face.
