Still operating covid safety measures. Very helpful staff easy system to follow for purchasing goods. The staff go the extra mile place I enjoy shopping atnSainsbury Carlisle is the place for me.. My parents, aged 88, visited the Carlisle store this morning. They usually avoid the self service tills as they are unsure of them. As they only had one item they decided to try it. They asked the female assistant on duty to show them what to do. She was unfriendly, unhelpful and basically left them to it. They had to ask another customer for help in the end.nThis is not acceptable. Staff need to understand the needs of older customers who might not be as tech savvy as they are. What has happened to customer service?
It's one of the best Sainsbury's I've been in, a good line in clothes as well as great produce. An excellent vegan selection too.
Quality of products are ok, disappointed that some items are out of stock, prices seem to have dropped a little since my last visit. Checkout was fairly fast and friendly, would have given four stars if cabbages were in stock.
Large airy supermarket space, well stocked with plenty of variety. Helpful staff and decent parking with a couple of hours free and a decent petrol station.
