It’s a pretty standard Sainsbury’s with an average selection of run of the mill products. There are two things that let it down. The first is pricing on the shelves which is often completely missing or incorrect especially for things like laundry detergent. The second issue for me is the ludicrous nectar price disparity where the standard price is supposedly ££s more than the nectar one. It doesn’t fool anybody. The nectar price is just the price that product should be. They really should stop this nonsense.
I have just been for my shop in Sainsbury's Urmston. The lady on the checkout was really lovely. Very friendly and super helpful.nI remarked that I had a lengthy trip ahead of me to Worsley to collect my grandson from school and that I needed to use the ladies toilet beforehand. I was worried I had a trolley full of shopping. She immediately told me to go and that she would keep an eye on it until my return.nHow kind is that. She didn't have to. I hurried up as quick as I could and thanked her when I returned.nShe is a real angel. It shows us that it is the little gestures in life that mean so much.nThank you Pauline from the bottom of my heart.nThe lady with the trolley! XxnA real asset to the store.
This afternoon before closing after 16:00I had to buy some GF bread for the restaurant where I work ,I was checking out on the till ,my company card was keep on declining for some reasonI was also not carrying any personal card or cash with me , Cheryllif I am not wrong who was serving on the till realised the card issue and situation ,took her own card out and paid the bill , which I felt as a outstanding hospitality and kindness …….she is really a asset for Sainsbury’s……Thanks Cheryl for saving me …..
Good clean shop as you would expect, well presented and stocked
Its OK but not great. The fresh food has a shorter shelf life but higher price. Now you have to use your nectar card which is owned by the dailymail group. I regularly leave without everyday items because of stock issues and some more specific items are very hard to find / not sold there. The selection is quite limited i.e. nappy sizes. The opening times can be restrictive, everywhere else is 11pm or 24/7, I was in the store 30 mins before closing on a weekday and it was busy. Its OK if you're desperate for a very profilic basic item.
