Came to the shop hoping to buy medicine for my mother, as soon as i get through the door, the security guard on duty demanded i get a basket for my items. As others came in he didnt ask anyone else to grab a basket which was odd, after a couple minutes of arguing back and forth as to why i needed a basket i asked for the manager to ask why i needed a basket or the other option which was to leave the shop. Two managers then came over to tell me to leave even though i had done nothing but simply ask why i needed a basket. Thankyou for wasting my time and delaying my shopping for a bullshit reason.
A standard supermarket experience. Parking is generally good and in close proximity to the store. Inside, it's what you expect in terms of choice, but the one thing about this particular store is that it is always clean and tidy and staff are always helpful and friendly, particularly the guys on the click & collect . The downside to this store is the main road used to access the store. It's a nightmare at busy times, and I have experienced queuing for over an hour just to exit the car park.
Don't go to this store often, so not familiar with the layout. Today, easy parking, store wasn't busy. Food looks great - picked up the dog and cat foods, milk and cream for a pork, tarragon and cream sauce I was planning for tea! Self service was smooth and staff helpful. A non hassle visit to the supermarket - yey!
Actually went to Argos pick up inside of Sainsbury's. However I was inside Sainsbury's. Overall looking it was looking a bit tired instead the store. I have a Nectar card which can be useful, however the array of money offers, emails necessary to gain the points. Kinda damps the effort to make the most of Nectar. However I did get Nectar points on my purchase from Argos. But this in itself took a while to link up the Nectar card to Argos on line. I guess to get to the point, Nectar Points system needs to be simplified .
Can I firstly point out that I have tried to give recognition of a member of staff at Hereford Sainsbury's via all sorts of contact etc but to no avail!!!!!! Sainsbury's bang on about how their staff should be ....... Yet make it extremely difficult to praise a member when goog service has been provided.nI visited Sainsbury's in Barton Yard on Wednesday 28th August 2024 and whilst struggling to find an item I wanted I spoke to a very pleasant smart and helpful member of staff called Emily.nAt the time I could see Emily was extremely busy sorting through pages of paperwork but when I asked for help it was no problem at all.nEmily stopped what she was doing and took me directly to the items I needed even pointing out other options within the store if I wanted a selection.nHappily Emily took me to the items I needed and helped me get on with my shopping instead of wandering aimlessly trying to find said item Yes I'm a man, say no more!! I would like to bring Emily to the attention of relevant managers either in Hereford or at HQ for her Pleasant, smart, happy and professional manner when helping me on this day.nI see that Sainsbury's have a recognition award and I would like to put Emily forward for such an award.nSainsbury's PLEASE make it easier to submit praise on your staff!!!! I hope this message somehow gets to the relevant store and managers etc but in the end it has been the only way to bring good work to your organisation's attention.
