Opened in 1878, a red brick building with a blue brick banding which has Sailors Home inscribed on the central gable. The church is a Grade II listed building, inside there was a dormitory which was used for survivors from shipwrecks. It's a fascinating place, there are cabinets and pictures inside that paint a picture of the area and tell the story of the building.

Von aussen ist dem Gebäude sein Verwendungszweck kaum anzusehen, auch wenn die Bogenfenster ein Indiz dafür sein könnten. Das Innere ist schlicht gehalten, ein Kreuz deutet darauf hin, dass es sich um einen Ort religiöser Andacht handelt. Im Altarteil sind in bogenförmigen Nischen grosse Schrifttafeln angebracht. Modelle von Segelschiffen sowie Bilder sind der klare Hinweis, dass es sich hier um eine Kirche für eine bestimmte Berufsgruppe handelt, eine Eigenheit die mir in solcher Form noch nie begegnete. Dies dürfte aber traditionell mit dem Quartier zusammenhängen, in der die Kirche liegt.
