We had set menu, didn't taste of anything and was one dish between 4. They had a cobra tap but poured cans of fosters into our glasses under the bar. Charged us £5 over the odds. Great experience.Food: 1/5
My friend ordered a take away a couple of days ago Chicken and lamb biriyani We waited over 35 min for it to be ready , when there was only two people eating in the restaurant The veg dish was half filled and the colour of rice dull It was very bland Never tasted such a poor indian dish before
The food is bland but that can be forgiven as a lack of cooking skill. The true act of malice is the reason for the one star. A saving grace, I thought, would be an impossibly smooth Cobra straight from the tap. On ordering a perspiring pint, I was dismayed to see them pouring beer into a glass below the counter. Naively I thought to myself, "oh well, bottled Cobra is still pretty smooth" - alas the tins of Fosters they were pouring left me wanting so much more.
We ordered Butter Chicken and chicken biryani which were very plain. The butter chicken tasted of coconut milk which was unusual. The biryani was very dry and the bombay aloo tasted rotten like the potatoes were off. Very disappointing flavour and not planning to order again, most definitely
This once king of Oxford curry is not really close to that level any more, the decor is tired and the food is average but OK. The portion sizes of the starters aspire to cordon bleu and they are most definitely nowhere near that standard. Disappointing and don’t plan on returning - it is not that it is bad, just that there are more than a few better options.
Went for lunch with reservation. Had the pathia and rice and chilly chicken starter. Homely taste, very affordable, and quick service.
They did a great job of accommodating our party of 12 on a busy Friday night. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff and good food. Attractive Jericho location. Vegetarian options: Good options
Very disappointed in this place. I'm not sure if this was due to us being the first customers of the day but the food tasted old. I wouldn't come back here again. Also to now we did order take away.
I didn't order, but we had various dishes, chicken korma, dhalls, pineer aloo, veg biryarni, onion bhaji etc. There was plenty of food and it was enjoyed by everyone. Flavoursome without too much spice. We were told it would take 1 hour, within 30 minutes we were contacted to say it would be ready sooner. Brilliant service and delicious food. If I'm in the area again, Jamals will get a visit. Vegetarian options: Delicious,
