I expect that if you live in the area you like coming here. The owner seems to know his customers. If you come here as a stranger you might tend to walk through at first. At least if you go here for a fancy diner based on the positive reviews score. The establishment looks small and simple. Not like a ‘fancy diner’ restaurant. But don't let that stop you. Walk in here. And be positively surprised. The owner comes up to you and my impression has a nice dish to sell you that suits you. making money doesn’t seems to be the owner's main motive but quality of food, fair treatment and customer focus. How wonderful. I wish I did live near here. Then I would also be someone who the owner would know if I walked in ;. Ow I almost forget: the food was excellent! @Owner:Thanks for the great treatment, the delicious food, and making my colleague like real lamb while he doesn't like it. Hope to visit again.
This restaurant is home away from home for many like me. Extremely delicious, authentic desi food laced with the love of a wonderful family that owns this place. Highly recommended for a treat of the taste buds but more importantly, for basking in the love you've only known at home!Food: 5/5
The best place to go if you're looking for an authentic desi food and homely vibes. The place is just brimming with immaculate vibes from soft old hindi songs playing in the background to aroma of food cooking in the kitchen to heart warming hospitality of hosts, it is everything you are looking for. I go here twice sometimes more in a week, genuinely feels like home away from home. Their delicious chicken biryani along with Rizwan uncle + Lajja aunty's gupshup & dance and to end with desi coffee with chocolate on top ahhh just makes my day!
One of best halal places in Oxford. Amazing guys, really tasty and quick service. Friendly staff. Both husband and wife who are running this are amazing couple to talk. I am glad to visit this place on my way back to Leeds. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are good. Really enjoyed all the curry here and mix grill was also very tasty. Really good experience and will surely visit again whenever i will be around. Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options if you need and really good ones. Kid-friendliness: Got few items for kids and they are really good as well. Parking: No parking around but in the street next to it few meters away.
Best Indian food in Oxford hands down!! Always feel like I’m eating at home, and I think the warmth from the owners has a lot to do with it! Visited multiple times and loved it always! 10/10 absolutely recommend
I live nearby and Rizwan and his wife have always been incredibly kind and welcoming to me. Whether I have come alone or with a large party, they have always made us feel like part of their family and treated us like guests in their home. The food is delicious, some of the best south asian food you can get in Oxford; very authentic and at such a great rate! Currydor is an amazing establishment and I can not recommend it enough!!
A wonderful family run business that produces authentic Punjabi dishes with a home cooked approach! The dishes are freshly cooked and prepared on order which is noticeable in the quality of ingredients, spices, and flavour! The staff are all welcoming and very accommodating. Highly recommend this independent business to all - will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Oxford.
The food was the best south Asian food I've had in Oxford! I had the Dal Gosht and it was delicious! The service was so nice and wholesome. I enjoyed the ambiance. Will definitely come back soon.
