I searched high and low for an XC90 on behalf of my sister-in-law and was confident I had found the very best example in the country for her budget - regardless of private or trade.  Simon collected me from Selby train station and he was a pleasure to deal with.  Regretfully the car developed a fault - as used car's are prone to do - and without quibble he travelled across three counties the very next morning, on his birthday no less, to collect the car. The true test of a business is when something unexpectedly goes wrong - and how it is rectified. We're all delighted with the XC90 - and even more delighted that there's people like Simon in this world. 5 stars for the quality of his cars, more importantly 5 stars for his customer service!

Bought another car today from Simon and as usual great service and competitive price.
The car was perfectly presented and it was a pleasure to do business with Simon again.

BEWARE - at first the seller seemed lovely, we liked the vehicle which was in good condition, left a deposit with him to keep the vehicle while the finance was sorted and was told it was fine, " as long as you need ". He rang me and said keep me updated with any info, which I attempted to do but never answered so left a voice mail which was never returned. A day before due to collect he notified the finance company that the vehicle was now sold even though I had left a deposit on the vehicle, claiming I hadn't contacted him. Either way, you would call to see what was going on before selling to someone else! Very bad way of working and am totally shocked at how such a well presented and mannered man can behave in this way. Beware!

I have bought cars from Simon on two occasions now, once for my wife and once for my younger sister.

Both were excellent quality and passed their next MOTs with no advisories.

Reliable local businesses like this should be praised.
