I recently had the pleasure of having my hair done by Suzanne at Rush Moorgate, and I must say, it was the best salon experience I've ever had! After two disappointing visits to other Rush locations in London, where the stylists only did half of my hair and completely mistake my toner, I decided to give Rush one last shot at their Moorgate location. Which I had been once before and had left satisfied From the moment I arrived, Suzanne was incredibly kind and professional. Even though my appointment was quite late, she was full of energy and completely dedicated to helping me achieve the look I wanted. Suzanne took the time to listen patiently as I explained what had happened at the other locations. She then walked me through her plan to correct my hair, explaining everything clearly and with great patience. Suzanne's skill and attention to detail were evident as she worked on my hair. She stayed after closing hours to ensure everything was perfect, and the result was absolutely stunning—my hair looked exactly the way I had envisioned. Having been bleaching my hair for 10 years, I can confidently say that I've never received such exceptional service. Not only did Suzanne do an outstanding job, but she also made me feel fantastic about my new look. Her understanding, efficiency, and positive attitude made the entire experience enjoyable. Suzanne is the reason I will continue to go to Rush Moorgate for all my hair needs. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch service and a truly wonderful salon experience. I had an awesome experience of having my hair done by Damian at Rush Moorgate, and it was a great experience I've ever had! After disappointing visit to other Rush location in London, where the stylists didn't listen to me at all and gave orange tone to black bleached hair. I decided to go to Rush Moorgate with lot of hesitation but as soon as I arrived, the manager and Damian realized why I was so upset and did the wonderful job on my hair leaving me happy and very satisfied. I strongly recommend him and to try this Rush location. Worth it.. Thank you!!
I went here for a curly cut... never recommending this place to anyone with curly and coarse hair. I asked for my hair to be properly curled and dried however I noticed my stylist didn't know how to deal with my curl pattern as she was struggling and I was very nervous. The cut turned out fine however she weighed down my hair with products and it turned out stringy and horrible to look at. I was so disappointed but too shy to say anything and when I mustered up the courage to speak to the receptionist if I could have it fixed as my stylist told me to let her know if I want to change anything the receptionist immediately shut me down. Didn't even show sympathy for my horrible frizzy wet mess. She told me if I want it fixed I will have to wait till the stylist is free again and I will be charged for a wash and blow-dry again after being g charged 85??? For a cut and blow-dry when my hair was ABSOLUTELY not dry. Or nice to look at. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Came for a balayage and cut. I’ve had a bad experience with balayage previously so I was a bit nervous about risking going to another hairdressers but I’m so pleased with it. Really friendly staff and one of the best haircuts I’ve had. I was a bit out of it so forgot to ask the name of my hairdresser but she did a really great job. She was also super accommodating to my low energy which is always appreciated. On top of that it was all for a very reasonable price. Will be going back!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at Rush Hair Salon Moorgate. This was the first haircut I’ve had in five years, and I was eagerly looking forward to the experience. My sister-in-law, a regular client who gets her hair done every other month, had raved about Rush Hair Salon. I booked my appointment online since it’s by appointment only, and with a 7.5-month-old, my "me time" is limited to weekends when my husband is off work. Unfortunately, since Rush Moorgate isn’t open on Sundays, Saturday was my only option. Upon arriving for my appointment, I requested a female hairdresser but was informed that this should have been specified in advance, so they rebooked me. I have long hair, reaching below my waist, and mentioned this to the stylist at the time who was Zoe. She told me I’d need a one-hour slot due to the length of my hair. The receptionist kindly booked me for the next available slot, which was two weeks later. A week later, I called to see if any earlier appointments were available but was told there weren’t any. Given my previous experience, I triple-confirmed over the phone that I would be seen by a female hairdresser and that my long hair had been accounted for, including a surcharge for the length. Fast forward to my appointment, and it was a nauseating experience. I had booked Aria for my wash, cut, and blow dry. After seeing my hair, she told me she couldn’t do it “properly” due to back-to-back appointments. Despite confirming all details in person and over the phone, I was told there was nothing she could do and she started on my hair reluctantly. I asked if another stylist could at least complete the blow dry, but Aria was unwilling to help or do the job properly. During the cut, she kept leaving to assist other stylists, stating that “colour is her speciality.” She rushed through my haircut and admitted it could have been better with more time. Her next client arrived while I was still in the chair with half of my hair wet. She asked Paige to help blow dry my hair but instructed her to “just do a bend.” Once my hair was dry, it had no style—no waves, curls, or volume. Aria said that was all she could do, apologized, and left me to attend her next client. Throughout my haircut, Aria was uninterested in my experience. This was supposed to be my “me time” after a long seven months, a chance to feel good and pampered, especially for £100. Rush prides itself on making sure clients look and feel amazing but that wasn’t the case for me. The receptionist offered to book me for a later blow dry, but another stylist Zoe stepped in, said I’d have to pay extra. I insisted that the blow dry was part of my package. They eventually offered GHD curls, which is not what I booked or paid for. Aria then accused me of “insulting her” by asking for the full service I had booked. Paige also defended the initial service despite my multiple confirmations. While at the counter, Paige mentioned she had 30 minutes to spare and could have done my blow dry while waiting for her client’s colour, but they chose not to. I felt so low and unworthy of nice-looking hair that I started crying involuntarily. Rush promises a great experience, but this was far from it. Ultimately, Afsheen happily did my GHD curls, who was genuinely amazing, and made me feel better about myself. However I left, feeling embarrassed and disappointed. The blow dry was part of my service—a wash, cut, and blow dry. I just wanted to feel good about spending money on myself and having some me time. Instead, it was a thoroughly upsetting experience.
Front of house were not welcoming, almost like I was a burden. Sinead didn't listen to what I wanted or offer any alternatives. Would have expected more from an experienced stylist. This place needs an overhaul, or more training on how to treat customers. Don't waste your hard earned money here!
Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I visited this salon with high hopes, drawn by the positive reviews and the work of a specific stylist I had chosen based on their portfolio. Unfortunately, my experience was marred right from the beginning due to the receptionist's attitude. Not only was she rude and lacking in empathy, but she also misled me about the salon's waiting policy. I was informed that the wait time would be 10 minutes, which unexpectedly turned into 15 minutes. Due to a mere 5-minute delay on my part, which in her view was unacceptable, I was not allowed to have my hair done by the stylist of my choice but was reassigned to another stylist without any option for discussion. To add insult to injury, I was informed that I could not proceed with the full head colour I had planned, which was originally quoted at £145. Instead, I was pushed into getting balayage, a service I did not come for, which nearly doubled my cost to an astonishing £270. The salon not only failed to respect my preferences but also seemed to exploit the situation for a higher charge. The salon needs to address these issues of customer service and transparency. Until then, I cannot recommend their services.
I highly recommend this branch. I’ve been seeing Aria for glossing and haircuts for about two years, and she is truly exceptional. Regardless of the hairstyle, Aria consistently does an amazing job with a fantastic, dedicated, and simultaneously easygoing, bubbly attitude. I highly recommend her!

I did a walk-in appointment, which was very nicely accommodated. My hairstylist was Damian and I had the loveliest time ever! He was super friendly, professional and gave me the most beautiful haircut and blow out. He spent a good amount of time listening to me, making sure he respected the length I wanted and at the same time adding his own personal touch. Please hire more people like him! 10/10 - would totally recommend this salon and Damian! Thank you for your amazing services!
