We had a lovely late afternoon walk in the Ruislip woods with our dog. It was so tranquil and peaceful as we walked the many "public paths." it is difficult to belive that such a natural place exists in the middle of suburbia. Highly recommended if you want to get back to nature.
I been asked to leave, not allowed to camp for few hours and not to have a small fire for food, why then they saying coming and hiking area for... I been asked to leave it ruin my afternoons
Great place for people of all ages. Lovely views, very peaceful for those of you who want to go and relax- equally great areas for families and children to play!
Great place to visit, facilities for food and beverages also available. Plenty of trail's to explore either the lido or woods. Not forgetting the railway which is ideal for both young and old to enjoy. With the added benefit of the sand and play areas for the children to enjoy. Playground: Beach area for youngsters to enjoy themselves. Restrooms: Facilities for everyone. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of walking available, around the lido or through the woods. Picnic area: Plenty of space for your picnic.
Great place for walks or just spending time with family and friends. Very educational with all those interesting facts about planetary system all along. There is also a beach which I was surprised to see,and plenty of playgrounds for kids. Nice food in restaurant,so is worth to coming back there.
Wonderful area in West London, tended by brilliant staff. Downside selfish people from outside the area, creating a lawless waste strewn zone at the weekends. If you cannot treat the area and staff with respect best to stay away.

Beautiful Broadleaf woodland criss-crossed with paths to provide plenty of walking. Perhaps Beech and Silver Birch the most prominent trees, but also Hornbeam, Oaks, Sweet Chesnut, Alder and Aspen. Free car park here, or you can access from the north end of the Lake.
Beautiful place to spend a day out. Plenty of playareas for kids to enjoy, sand for the little ones to build castles and great swings by the water. Like a little paradise 20 min from home. Will definitely come back soon
