Brilliant is an understatement. If you like birds then this place is an absolute MUST. Always see all sorts of birds and there is plenty of places and areas to walk around. Bird hides are top notch meaning it's no problem if the weather isn't great. Visitor center is large with viewing areas of the pond next to it. Bird feeders by the windows, gift shop and delicious food at a good price. Can't talk this place up enough. Simply wonderful. Still waiting to see their signature bird the water rail though it just gives me the excuse to keep going back

A fab place - bright and wecoming inside, lovely staff and volunteers - plus a pretty good cafe. The reserve has terrific trails and bird watching opportunities galore. A good place to bring children too. Lambing over Easter and the school holidays starts on 30 March.

The whole family enjoyed our trip to saltholme. There is a park for children, a small restaurant that services warm food as well as sandwiches and drinks and the wildlife is amazing. Would have loved to stay longer in one of the bird watching huts but unfortunately small children don't have the patience. Will definitely be going back for a spring walk

Fantastic visitor centre with loads to do for all the family. Nice cafe, though be aware it gets busy fast on 'peak' days like school hols.

A good place to stretch your legs. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you don't take a drink or food there is a nice cafe to have a drink and a bite to eat staff again very friendly and helpful.
