Cozy place, central location, food was good and environment was friendly. The only downside was the live band playing so loud that in order to keep our conversation we needed to shout. :) Otherwise it was good.

Waitress fantastic, we were an unannounced group of 10; and dealt with us superbly. Even moving tables on her own. No job too difficult.

Atmosphere grew as night went on but I much preferred the old tables and chairs. The beer garden to used to be laid out better as well. Didn't expect live music so it was a lovely surprise when this started. Fireplace is very cosy and the staff are lovely and helpful.

Very friendly staff, ok selection of ales and a nice (gas) fireplace. Visited on a Thursday afternoon so wasn't too busy. Would definitely recommend if in the area, but not worth going massively out of your way for
