Went for lunch at the w/e. We were well looked after by the staff and the lunch was very good quality and value. The village is lucky to have several good venues...
A delightful little village pub, staff were friendly and helpful food there is delicious and good selection of ales the landlady made sure that our experience was a pleasant one. Thankyou for making us feel welcome there, will definitely come back again next year x
Busy on a Sunday afternoon. Patio garden.Food was served very quickly. Standard pub food. Very welcome after a long hot cycle ride.
What a shame...Waited over 30minutes to receive food after my teenage children got theirs, then Roast Beef was well under cooked, and needed a stake knife to cut it, the Jacket Potato had been rewarded that much it smelt off, and the fish looked like it could swim away with the amount of water on the plate. And who gives French mustard to go with a English Sunday Roast. We won't go into pudding, but let's say that's £100 waisted and I won't be recommending....
V.quiet early afternoon visit but the staff are engaging and the beer well kept.
Stopped here for a quick lunchtime snack. Decent enough pub with a good view over the green.
Just popped in for a quick drink, staff very pleasant, nicely decorated, definetly will be popping back
It reopened about 10 days ago under new ownership. Popped in for a beer -- they had two ales: Young's Original and Timothy Taylor Landlord. Both in good condition. Looking forward to my next visit! Visited again the other day. Quite at that time but still good.
Came for a mid-week meal. Really nice menu, good prices and good food
We ordered two meals which took around 40 minutes to arrive even though they didn’t seem busy. The ham egg and chips were fine but the vegetable curry was a great disappointment. It was tasteless and mainly consisted of tomatoes mixed with corgettes swimming in what appeared to be juice from a tin of tomatoes. It came with one small oily popadom, some rice but no mango chutney. Whilst the pub may be good for a drink, the standard of food needs to be improved if they are going to get returning customers, sadly we won’t be returning. A great shame as the pub is in an ideal location and has great potential.
