The food was excellent. It was lovely and peaceful sitting in the garden and nice and cool inside. They were short staffed but the guys that were there did a really amazing job
Absolutely lovely food, what a find. Came down for a special occasion on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Sitting outside in the lovely garden, next to a group of cockerels which kept the kids happy, the staff were really friendly and food and drinks came super quick. We had roast beef roasts, sticky toffee pudding and drinks as well as kids fish and chips. All the veges were beautifully cooked as well as the rare roast beef and Yorkshires. Great portion we were stuffed after and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you, can’t wait to come back
Very nice country pub, cosy and great atmosphere. Love the open fire places which is great to warm your bones against the fire.
Gorgeous little 17th century pub. Fireplaces and low ceilings give it that cosy feel that all pubs should have! Had Sunday beef roast and was not disappointed! Everything was delicious and the Yorkshire pud was huge! Staff attentive and happily provided us with all we asked for. Parking in site too. Lovely lovely place. 10/10
Lovely pub, attentive staff, good menu including a selection of roasts; we had chicken and beef which were good. Yorkies weren't great but everyone scoffed them. Roast tatties were lovely and vege was fresh. Burgers were delicious and chips were just right! Sticky toffee pudding was also delicious and a perfect portion size with the right amount of sauce and ice cream. Enjoyable meal had by all. Will definitely return.
We had a really lovely Sunday roast here. The owner tried very hard to fit us in. We had roast beef and pork and a pudding of mixed berries and apple crumble and ice cream. Several drinks too.I think the bill was reasonable in this day and age. We had a lovely afternoon. Thank you.
First visit for lunch today and what a gem of a pub. Lovely atmosphere, great choice of beer and fabulous food. Staff lovely, great service and very, very dog friendly. Every box ticked
Unfortunately there was no gas in the kitchen so no hot food available. However, waited nearly an hour for two sandwiches and two salads. The pub was not busy at this time. One sandwich was returned with stale bread. Smoked salmon sandwich at £9.00 also with stale bread. Coffee was lukewarm. Can only assume food is better when they have fully functioning kitchen. But based on quality and price of food and service will not be visiting again.
Very busy pub. There seemed to be a staff shortage ... hence those working were under pressure. One meal bangers and mash meal was good ... my meal of half a roast chicken with veg half cold when it arrived after quite a wait. Staff helpful ... was offered a replacement, which I accepted. The second meal was worth the wait, as it was far superior to the first!! The waitress apologised for the first meal. Wouldn't rush back or recommend. Sorry!!
Great service and great food, extremely busy pub all tables were full but Manager shuffled things about so we didn't have to leave. Best Sunday roast anywhere.
