No problem with the staff. But the management is sour like poison they will take there bonus and leave .royal mail will be no more., they have changed the the opening times for parcel pick ups at the depot. I ordered an over night delivery or two day delivery over the weekend. I arrive to pick up my parcel and find out it closes now at midday on a Monday. I paid for a specific delivery only to find out I had wasted my money as might as well ordered a 7 day delivery window, jokers
I ordered a special delivery that didn't arrive in time, unfortunately my parcel was due to arrive on the first day of the postal strike. Our area postal workers went over and above to try to find the whereabouts of my parcel and even arranged to update me once he got back to the depot. The depot phoned me to inform me that the parcel wasnt there but if it did come over the strike period then it may be delivered by staff bought in to help with special deliveries etc. It didn't arrive. Its now the Monday and ive just recieved my parcel from our usual post worker. I cannot fault the postal workers at Dartford, they go over and above even when they are really busy, I know how frustrated and disappointed they all were that they couldnt retrieve my parcel and deliver it on time. I hope this is seen by the people that may employ cover staff for when our post workers arent working, its a tough job and one that needs understanding and professionalism not leaving a special delivery customer with no parcel and no information relating to why its late. After this experience I can honestly say that I fully support the reason for the strike action, good staff are hard to cone by, I'm in Bean, Dartford and our postal workers are better than good.
Missed a parcel which was late due to the post workers striking and they close their branch at mid day on a Monday. Terrible service and I wish eBay sellers would use alternative postal companies.
Had a parcel delivered today. Postie scanned it and took a photo of my front door holding my parcel in their hand. Marked it as delivered and sitting outside my door in unsecured area so anyone could have nicked and my parcel and guess what they did! Why not leave with a neighbour????
Ah where do I begin, if I could give a star lesser than one I would. This tale begins as all those that are dark do, spun on a bed of lies by royal mail themselves. Two separate occasions my parcel was "attempted" to be delivered, on both occasions "claiming" I was not home ... I work from home and I assure you I was. That being said, after the second lie - they decided to take my parcel to the royal mail establishment. I travelled for two days, enduring blistering cold winds and schorcing desserts, I climbed to the highest bloody room of the tallest bloody tower, only to find them to inform me that the electricity is down and they cannot retrieve my parcel today As you can imagine I have many a question, what does having electricity have to do with looking at the paper note you left and fetching my parcel which will be labeled with my name and address ? Also, in what day and age would you not have a backup power source to mitigate a meltdown like this? I'm coming back for my pink hair clip, I will not stop, I will not rest. Amen.
Opening hours not updated. Went there Sunday 14:45 all door locked . Waste of time

And the issue with postie's still not ringing doors has followed my from my parents to my very own address. This isnt the first time either here. I'm awaiting a VERY important parcel and have been up since 7am waiting for it. At 1036 am apparently a delivery was attempted. Well it certainly was not. Because even if it was and I had missed it. My intercom would have displayed that we had missed a knock at the door. And nothing. No one has rang our intercom at all this morning. Cannot get hold of any one on the telephone. And I've just seen the sorting office is open for 4 hours.whats that about?? It has nothing to do with covid at all. It's just ROYAL MAIL being lazy and cutting op costs whilst claiming the rest of their staffs non worked hours through furlough!!!!
Almost always a queue, which is a shame as staff are usually friendly, helpful, polite and prompt, despite the workload. There are four customer service windows here, but only two are every used, and if is common to find just one window in operation. Parking is an issue as most spaces are used by staff, there is a public car park before the entrance, and although it seems far away, it isn't too far, however parking there means you have to go down and up a lot of steps. To gain entry, when the barrier is down and manned, you need only present your 'missed delivery card', but you will need valid photo ID, like a driving licence, to collect any post from here.
Staff do a good job although there are often queues. Remember to take ID to speed up the process. Also, have your delivery note with you in the car to wave to the staff at the entry gate to get into the car park quickly. The access road is steep so can be tricky for wheelchair users
