Lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Great welcome. Fabulous seafood on both the evening and breakfast menus. Service is superb even when busy. Best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. We discovered the paths up the hillside behind the hotel and had a hike to build an appetite for dinner. Highly recommended.
Very good hotel with nicely appointed cosy rooms and very comfortable beds. The hotel has been recently renovated and everything is fresh and clean. Bathrooms are spacious. The water front bar is a lovely environment to wind down after a day of driving. The hotel's restaurant offers a varied selection of fare, nicely prepared and presented.nnThe cherry on top is the calibre of the staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and caring, from check-in through to the wait staff. Special mention to Paula who sets a great example of how hospitality should be done. Highly recommended to stay.
My wife and I stayed here for the Easter weekend, having our first child free break in since our daughter was born.nnWe had come in just as the renovations had been complete at the hotel looks amazing.nnThe staff were great, helpful and friendly, in particular the manager Cameron, front desk Finn and barman Donnie.nnIn terms of food and drink, we had breakfast here and thought the menu was fantastic, we ate the highland breakfast and pancakes. Both were very good quality. The bar was well stocked, busy and had a good atmosphere.nnThe location of the hotel is almost worth mentioning, overlooking loch broom, with the local hill walks starting behind the hotel. Within a minutes walk you also have a number of pubs and restaurants to eat at.
Staying at the nearby first class harbour hotel, and went to the Royal twice for dinner.nUllapool needed another really good eating place with a view, and the Royal offered a fabulous experience.nThe staff gave outstanding service, all polite, friendly, efficient and helpful. Special reference to PAULA, the Rest Manager who went over and above customer service. Including a training session on how to tackle the gorgeous langoustines!nMenu was reasonably priced, and a good selection with fresh fish.nHighly recommended as the new food/drink destination that offers value for money and a welcome.nthe Waterfront Bar was a surprising and cosy contrast, rather like a ski chalet atmosphere with its wooden decor.nWorth a visit.nSarah and Tom
We had a brand new renovated room at the backside. The bed, the bathroom, the towels, the curtains all were new. The staff specially the manager is super friendly and the breakfast was great. Also the bar is a great place to have a drink.nHave the idea that all is changed in the last 5-6 months because I can’t recognise any of the complaining in the reviews from 5 months and backwards.
