Disgrace of a place. It's not a hotel,not even a hostel.Needs closing down,not fit for humans.Stinks,dirty and poor. Avoid.Rooms: 1/5
They were having work done been better if they closed it till it was finished no bar no lunch no breakfast. Terrible place Noteworthy details: Book somewhere else
I would describe this as a budget contractors hotel. The whole place is very dated and tired. The bed is made up of a standard domestic divan base and a mattress thinner than a slice of ham, with no comfort. The TV was breaking up on most channels which may be to do with the area in general. The kettle is on a lead so you have to unplug it to pour it. There was no tea spoon, only a couple of paper straws, which are as much use as well... paper straws in a hot drink!!! The curtains are too narrow for the windows, so you have to choose which side you want the light to come in at 5AM! Inside the bath and the bath panel were both cracked. You also have a £50 security deposit, but really can't see why. However the room was clean.
Disgraceful from start to finish! Room was filthy and had not been cleaned, beer cans all over my room and a random fridge freezer in the room! The room looked as though someone lived there! The Night Porter was rude, disrespectful and appeared drunk! Refused to acknowledge my complaints and didn’t offer me an alternative room! The fridge was noisy so didn’t get any sleep! No toilet paper was in the room So had to have a shower to clean myself after going the toilet! I want my money back!!
Checkin not manned Access by several phone calls. Rooney adequate.Rooms: 2/5
The hotel needs a revamp, everything needs to update. The mattress I could feel the springs digging into my back. Lefted early about 4am and approach the front door and couldn't believe my eyes, thick chains, and padlocked the front door. Climbed, over window to get out.Rooms: 1/5
Do not stay here! I booked in my mother and her partner for one week as the pictures online were gorgeous, unfortunately the actual place is hideous and infested with mould all over the entire property. Parts of the walls and ceilings have come off, buckets to collect the water coming from the ceiling everywhere. The hotel if you can call it that is falling apart! Checked out after one night of bad Asthma attacks of my mom and no refund for the remaining week! Contacted the booking site and they spoke to the hotel which then promised to refund the 50£ deposit and the remaining money, nothing… stay away!!!
The staff were very friendly a d helpful. The rooms were dated and needed some new decor. The food an beverages if you were staying in the hotel at the moment was discounted, and both food and beverages were good. The breakfast had been cooked and left in a bain Marie and had gone a bit soggy not the best. The cost of the board was good for the night, and the question of would I stay again probably but I would avoid breakfast.
AVOID AT ALL COST Upon arrival I found the carpark which looked like a building site. I entered the hotel after walking through several people stood in the doorway drinking cans of beer and smoking weed and it took half hour to book me in even though I was pre booked. I was told I had to pay £50 deposit for the room which was only £47. The room was smelly dirty with carpets that didn't fit up to the walls. The bathroom was dirty and Rusty and had no toilet roll. I asked at reception for toilet roll but was simply told the people who deal with that had gone home. In the actual room most of the ceiling tiles were broken including the one holding the smoke detector and fire alarm. The bed had a big brown stain. The other guests were noisy all night long drinking beers in the hallway and landing shouting, laughing, screaming and in and out of each others rooms all night long. At 5 am I had had enough and just left. Wish i had checked trip advisor before booking. Shocking reviews. Please take this seriously as it must be avoided at lal cost. The worst place I have ever had to try and stay at ever. Still waiting for my deposit back after 12 days after being told 3 days.
Well what can I say? I am having a very good experience here since arriving yesterday. The heating in my room was faulty so I was chilly but the staff quickly and professionally got maintenance to take a look, I mean within 10 minutes!! After a short period of testing I was offered another room which is lovely and warm! As a goodwill gesture I am having my first evening meal on the house All the staff I have encountered since my arrival are a credit to this OYO hotel! The staff exude kindness, politeness, patience, professionalism, promptness and they listen! The food is fresh and inviting with a vibrant menu. I like the dated exterior and interior which is a refreshing change form the many ultra modern but bland hotels I’ve stayed in. I would revisit this hotel if in the area in the future and I would certainly recommend it!
