Rude owner, needs to learn how to send emails to potential customers. Lost item in back of one of their grotty taxis, and got a condescending, rude email back. Would not recommend, would suggest the authorities need to inspect their working practices !!

so..... never in my life have i felt this mistreated and humiliated and violated. i repeatedly requested the name of the supervisor who talked down to me which obviously i did not appreciate. I feel like it was because i was a 'mere' woman (misogyny!). Anyway, i digress, I would just like to put my review thus forth in order to better your services and inform future 'customers' of the poor, POOR, service they shall be the recipient of. I was discriminated against because i need a form of transport to my place of work which they were able to provide but yet REFUSED to do so. I requested to know the reason for this refusal yet i was unjustly treated and they had no reply. Methinks they do not have one and just wanted extra money from me. Worst taxi... no indeed service at all.. i have every encountered in my entire existence. I am mortified on the supervisors behalf, if i knew his sorry excuse for a name i would inform yet he would not 'indulge' me. i've lost all hope in humanity. and needless to say i shall not be using this particular sorry excuse for a service again. RIP royal cabs

These guys have a terrible attitude. They restart the meter from fresh when you are dropping someone off and carrying on your journey to charge you more, they lock you in the cab to squeeze the overcharge out of you, they display City cabs posters in the cab (so when I rang what I thought was control, it turned out they had no idea who the cab belonged to), they turn off the radio and ignore you while locked in cab so you can't even find out who they guy works for. We had to call the police to get us out who informed us it was illegal for them to keep you locked in the cab. Please avoid Royal Cabs Nottingham at all costs. UPDATE Aug 2013 Took a cab with a client (with luggage) from the taxi queue Outside Hilton Mansfield Road in the pouring rain heading up to near Forest Road, but the driver refused the fare unless I gave him a fiver for the £2.80 journey. When I politely asked him to use the meter he told me I had a bad attitude and should get out if I didn't like it. What an embarrassment in front of my client, who was from abroad and very nervous as a result of this unprofessional behaviour. ROYAL CABS YOU STINK!
