We’ve been eating here for years and love the food - the pickles are especially good. We and our young children are always made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend.

Ordered a Butter lamb for delivery, all I received was chunks of lamb shashlik in an orange looking korma sauce clearly the lamb wasn’t cooked in that sauce. I called the restaurant to clarify but they insisted that this is Butter lamb even though korma and butter are quite different in taste. I will not be ordering from this place ever again.
One of my fav. I'm working near by this restaurant and most of the time i eat from this restaurant. Staff and owner very respectfull and kind. Food is soo testy and i recommend paneer naga chili with chapatti which is one of my all time fav. you guy's should try this restaurant i'm sure u'll love it.

We are living near London from past 3 years and belong from West Bengal. This restaurant has traditional and authentic taste of Bengal which we haven't found. I had the fish biryani and it was just amazing. Great flavor and plenty of food, good value as well.
Used to come here frequently when I lived just over the road on Gloucester Terrace until 2009. Have recently gone back and the place, the food and the staff are still just as great as they were years ago. Have since recommended The Begal to anyone who cares to listen and have had lots of good feedback from friends and business acquaintances. Keep up the good work! Absolutely smashing place!!! ——- Update two years later: consistently good quality, attentive and welcoming staff. Although not normally a fan of mild curries, I tried the chicken korma, coconut rice and peshwari naan and was absolutely not disappointed. For a place that hasn’t let me down once over the course of 10 plus years, 5 stars are completely in order.
