Been here twice. Both times it was really tasty food, good sized portions and decent value. Service was good with the owner spending time to come and talk to us. Will definitely return again. Well worth pairing it up with a visit to the local cinema or Museum of Docklands.
It was worthless spending 6 Pounds for one single prawn which was coated with bread crumbs I have to literally look for prawns in it I ordered for panner sultani and they literally served matar panner. The service was one of the major drawback of the restaurant the waiter does not know how to talk with their guests and was too rude They even don't have tap water service in the restaurant and when I ask for explaination about the service and the way he was talking he started to give "racism" comments and told I have problem with every " Indian customer only" When he told us of you have any problem with me then give us feedback on Google not here. It means he does not care about the guests as well as he does not care about the Google reviews putting down here. HORRIBLE SERVICE NEVER EVER GOING BACK. Some legal action should be taken on it to stop this kind of racism
This has got to be the most flavoursome Indian Restaurant in the UK. Interior is ok, I'd rate the Interior 3 stars, it's traditional, comfortable and cosy. But the food is truly awesome and I really mean it...Mouthwatering flavours. I've been ordering from this place for the last 18 years and the flavours are spot on, I've never had any problems with this restaurant. No matter where I am, when I want an Indian, it's always this place because I've tried the rest. This place always delivers the food how it should be. I can tell just from the flavours the chef has been here since day one even though I've never met the chef which I would like to meet one day. The food is never overcooked or undercooked, the chefs skills are precisely perfect. My favourite starter is the fat-free Shami Kebab, and when I mean fat-free it doesn't mean it comes dry, it's juicy and full of flavours with grilled onions on top checkout the picture My favourite main dish is the Chicken Dansak with extra slices of garlic and green chilli. The chef knows exactly how I want and customise it for me, and I am very picky when it comes to food. The dansak is full of extra toppings, they don't fall short when you ask them check the chicken dansak in the picture Side dish I usually go for the Vegetable Bhajee, and again the way the vegetables are cooked it's truly flavoursome. Most restaurants the vegetables seems to be boring and soggy, but in this restaurant, it's something you would not dislike. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and I promise you'd be satisfied. I usually order takeaway and I still yet to meet the chef and the management just to say...THANK YOU. EXCELLENT SERVICE & EXCELLENT FOOD
This place is in a great location, first of all there is a premier in 30 seconds away, secondly canary wharf is only a 3 minute walk away. I came in hungry for some spicy food and i ordered the chicken nagashari it was a 9/10. I also ordered a mushroom rice and a garlic naan , first of all the garlic naan was very big and you can tell it was made in a proper tandoori oven , the mushroom rice was nice and average. The staff were very friendly and i had a very long chat with one of the waiters , the music reminded me of the good old days . The interior was gave a 19’s vibe and it was pretty cool. Overall this place is 9/10 i would recommend to anyone staying in the hotel nearby and anyone local .
I came here today and ordered chicken tikka masala with pilau rice and naan bread. The chicken tikka masala is one of the best I've ever had in my life! The taste is so rich and full of flavour and it's not watery or oily unlike some other curries in other restaurants. The pilau rice was delicious too and I could eat it just by itself without the curry, it's so tasty. The naan bread was so soft and fresh and also delicious. I would highly recommend them, they really do make delicious food and are generous with their portions. The fact that they were getting constant takeaway orders shows I'm not the only one who thinks their food is amazing!
First of all it's not from India. They are from Bangladesh. Food is ok. The guy told me the dish comes with a Naan. So i ordered accordingly. When I opened the package there was no naan. When I called them they said there was a mistake. Well after confirming 2-3 times they made the mistake. And last but not least as a Bengali and an Indian I can confirm that that food was neither Bengali nor Indian. I haven't tasted any authentic Bangladeshi dish yet but if they taste like this then I can say that they have destroyed all of the original Bengali recipes and made something horrendous.
Absolutely ATROCIOUS service today. Such a shame because I've ordered from here a few times and not usually disappointed. After today I can confidently say I won't be ordering again. The food is nice but it's not worth the treatment I received this time. Not only was the delivery an hour late, but I requested an update and they responded to say the driver was stuck in heavy traffic...which I knew wasn't true because I checked the journey myself and it was all clear and should have taken 12 minutes. I then called them to find out what was going on and he said the driver just left? Once I finally received my order, I saw they ignored my one and only note... They also refused to do anything about it, but they have lost a frequent customer today
Rice was ok, service absolutely terrible. Asked for a diet Coke, 1,95 on the menu. Come bill I was charged 5 pounds for a can of diet Coke. He said there was a cover charge and a data fast fee and i was given take out menu not the eat in menu thus the different price. Anyway abusive sales tactics, and bad attitude one starFood: 1/5
Ordered dal makhani and paneer tikka masala from here. Both were pathetic in taste, dal was not even cooked properly. Food was just bad. We had to throw all of it in the bin.Food: 1/5
What a waste of time. They have closed down but still took my table booking. I paid for an uber to get there for my booking and found out from the shop next door that they closed down a week ago
