First time visiting Mala and we truly enjoyed the experience. The weather was warm and we decided to sit outside. I ordered an old fashioned cocktail and a lamb tapas Thali that was simply delicious . Overall the food is the main reason to visit Mala. Apparently the outdoors license is until 10.30 pm and at some point they panicked and started cleaning tables. They were kind to propose for us to sit inside but it was time to leave anyway.
Mala Indian Kitchen & Bar, just a 5-minute walk from Canary Wharf Pier, offers exceptional hospitality and delicious food. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, enhancing the dining experience. The menu features a range of flavorful Indian dishes that are both authentic and mouth-watering. Whether you're enjoying a casual meal or a special night out, Mala provides a delightful culinary experience that's conveniently close to the pier. Highly recommended for both the warm service and the delectable cuisine. Recommend their Non veg thali and lamb biryani.
Wonderful time out on the patio with a comfortable temp and wind heater provided. Delicious butter chicken, cocktails, and refreshing wine! All in all, a delightful time
This is from Saudi Eats in London, with 60k+ followers across social platforms. Instagram & Tiktok: saudieats.ksa Our visit to @malaindiankitchen was exceptional. We experienced outstanding service and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, with beautiful views of the River Thames and the City beyond. Each dish was delightful; the mixed grill was particularly impressive, and the lamb shank was exquisitely tender. We also thoroughly enjoyed the chili paneer, butter chicken, and their desserts. Mala is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon. Thank you for having us.
We were group of 9 girls, its nice location. Food was decent enough too, we had all taken set menu, in starters I really loved Hariyali Tikki chaat. It was just brilliant. Thali with aloo baingan too was nice, enjoyed saag aloo the most in thali. I and my 2 more friends had opted for 2 course while other 6 girls opted for 3 course. Firstly, they messed our order with starter and brought too many samosa on the table though the staff was apologetic for same. And we understand mistakes can happen Then they messed our order in dessert and brought too many gulab jamuns over the table & while taking order my friend told its better you write it down this time, though the extra 2 gulab jamuns they gave it complimentary as it was a repeat mistake. What was the most annoying part one of the friend asked for 1-2 green chillies & lady staff got around 8-10 chillies, we said we don’t want that many, she said you just take, we will take rest back. I was wondering no one takes the food served on table back to use in kitchen, but when the bill came on table then it made sense that we were being charged for green chillies. It was not about amount but it was totally unethical on their part to charge us for green chillies when we specifically said 1-2 and we were never told we will be charged like places charge for salad. Service was prompt, staff was courteous but this incident was a put off. Since it was a friend’s birthday we didn’t want to create a fuss rather we all left another £8 over the service charge. Vegetarian options: Recommed hariyali tikki chaat
Mala was a wonderful treat at the end of a 36 hour day. The owner and wait staff made excellent suggestions and the flavor was sublime. We had the Lamb Korma and the Karahi Murgh along with some Aloo Saag and Naan. Finishing it with the Masala Karak Chai was the perfect ending. I want to particularly compliment the owner who has set the vision and the standard. Quality and attention to detail is evident everywhere and the positive energy is infused in the food and the experience.
First time having Indian Food, absolutely delicious and definitely coming back whenever we visit London again. Also the staff very friendly and patient with explaining all the different meals to us! Nothing to complain about!Food: 5/5
I recently dined in here and loved the experience. The ambiance was vibrant and inviting. I ordered chicken biryani, chicken kadhai, and prawn poori. While the biryani and kadhai were delicious, the prawn poori was the standout—an absolute must-try! The food was fantastic overall, and the good vibes made it even better. Highly recommended!
Some of the best Indian food I’ve had. The Sheekh kebab was absolutely delightful. Had a great view in the evening so everything was excellent.Food: 5/5
The service at Mala’s was very quick, and the staff, especially the servers, were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience. As for the food, it was slightly above average, but not the best you’d find in London. The quantity, however, was generous, so that’s a plus. While the food didn’t quite meet my expectations, the restaurant itself is a nice spot to hang out, with plenty of both outdoor and indoor seating options. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and Mala’s is a good place to visit for a relaxed outing, but if you’re looking for the best Indian food in London, this may fall just a little short.
