OPENING JUNE 2018

"The 85 seat restaurant serves a menu with vegetables at its heart but with a fresh focus on fermentation and cooking over fire. ROVI also features a large central bar with cocktails based on seasonal spices and house shrubs and a dynamic low-intervention wine list from small producers. We've teamed up with farmers who are passionate about growing great produce while respecting the environment. Fruit and vegetables come directly from biodynamic Brambletye in Sussex, and from Organiclea, a cooperative in East London."

Amazing food and the staff are fantastic. Blown away by the flavours. We opted for 4 small plates and two 'nibbles' between 2, wanting to leave room for dessert. The new cauliflower nibbles dish made it to each of our top 3 for the night. Both the manager and our waiter were really attentive, informative and enthusiastic, both dispensing spot on recommendations
First time at an Ottolenghi restaurant though I am a big fan of his cookbooks! and it did not disappoint! Really creative use of space. It was also great to watch the open kitchen and grill. The leeks were a big winner - we ordered a second round. Highly recommend
The ambience, the service and good par excellence. Ottolenghi food is layered and delicious. Spices are on point! We went for Sunday late lunch and were impressed at how the food tastes, looks and is presented. Its flavour packed and still light enough for lunch. We had 4 small dishes and 2 mains for 5 of us. 2 dessert shared between us!
What an experience. Since I’ve lived in London I’d always heard how amazing these restaurants are. Finally many years later I decided to go for my birthday dinner. Best choice I could have made. The decor is simple and chic but doesn’t distract from the quality of the food- unlike so many restaurants these days that want to look spectacular in a picture but sub-par when it comes to food. This was not like that. Both the food and drinks were unexpected. I couldn’t even really say what we had. We got mostly veg dishes which were all fantastic. Everything from beetroot to broccoli cooked in amazing ways with great sauces and accompaniments. Honestly nothing like it. We also got two fish dishes, mackerel and octopus. Cooked sooooo well. Honestly blown away and just made the day. I think the menu changes seasonally so not sure how long this will be available. However I’m sure any menu created would be as equally amazing. A must go. Also forgot they brought out complimentary fudge. That was my first time having it but others said it was the best they’ve ever had!
First experience in an Ottolenghi restaurant. Love his kitchen books and thus decided to try one of his restaurants during a trip to London. The atmosphere is as you can expect, elegant but not too formal. Food is of course delicious but be careful, mainly very chilly so ask for recommendations if it's a problem for you. A bit pricey but considering the food quality, atmosphere and service, I would say that the overall value for money is good. Recommended Vegetarian options: Mainly recommended for vegetarians
Amazing experience dining at Rovi. The staff were so friendly and lovely. We ordered a variety of dishes the small dishes in particular were amazing. We were celebrating my birthday and the staff surprised me with a little birthday treat which was not expected but absolutely delicious. Would definitely dine here again.
Great food, great service and great decor - highly recommend the grilled halibut, the gruyere fritters, and the grilled octopus. Their wine list is spot on with the food and their desserts are different yet delicious. Will definitely be back!
During our visit to London we had to stop at Rovi and try out some of Ottolenghi's dishes. The atmosphere and the welcoming when arriving was great! There was attention to what the customer needed and all the staff was very helpful and polite! All the dishes we had exceeded all the expectations we had in every way possible. Portions were great, even in the small plates and nibbles! The complimentary happy birthday plate with the salted caramels was just the best thing anyone could have hoped for!
5* flavours. We had the sole, octopus, ribs and sourdough tomato yogurt. All great especially that sourdough they must put crack on it octopus and ribs are the close second. Sole was great but we're not really boney fish people. Dessert was amazing too we got the pie and to top it off they gave me a complimentary birthday fudge will come back to taste other things!!
If you want to eat the best Vegetarian food in London, you'll love this restaurant. The emphasis is on vegetables cooked on a fire-cooked, presented in a rustic style with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. We shared a few dishes, everything was memorable. Being in Fitzrovia, the restaurant is full of media types lunching during the week.
