Room was quirky but ok looking, there was a fire exit in the room which wasn’t shut properly nor could be shut properly. The suite we had for us and our children was alright but the large bed was horribly uncomfortable you could feel all the springs the bedding however was neat and clean. We did not eat or drink at this place as breakfast was not included in the price

We only had a double room, with a nice shower, hotel gets 10/10 if it changed it mattress's once every 10 years.. Before i even got into the bed , i could feel the bedbase... Which the wife found very funny. So still 10/10. Thankyou ..

Had a carvery meal here recently and it was ok,. but not great. Would I eat here again, possibly, if only when nothing else was available. People and the actual place is nice though, so can't fault it on that basis, and the drinks are slightly cheaper than everywhere else in Rothwell.

Didn't accept Scottish money. So won't visit again for that reason alone. As always no explanation/reason given. Bed and bathroom both clean, other areas in need of dusting. Had a reasonable sleep. Some noise from main st but tolerable. No lamp so main light on or off, not very relaxing prior to sleep. Toilet very noisy might disturb other guests but that said I never heard any others.
