Nice little cottage

I have stayed here several times and love it! Nesfield is a small rural village just outside of Ilkley and the views from the kitchen are stunning. Jane, the owner, really looked after us and ensured we had everything we needed very soon after we arrived, including an un-expected bottle of wine and the necessary supplies for a brew!! The cottage was very cosy without being kitsch or personalised and the bed in the master bedroom is wonderfully comfortable, bit of a struggle to get out of!!! The decor and furnishings are much more than you'd expect from a holiday let and beautifully kept, we didn't want to leave. It was winter when we stayed last time but with the supply of logs and the log burner didn't mind the cold weather a bit. We did lots of walks from the cottage including over Ilkley Moor, and then ventured into the Dales. The Craven Arms in Appletreewick is definately worth a visit, a really old traditional country pub with a huge log fire and good food. Another find was the Devonshire Arms, more of a bistro but lovely to sit outside in the Summer. We are doing the Dalesway in sections and have got to Grassington so far, doing the next leg in September! I cant recommend this highly enough, there are 2 double bedrooms so plenty of room for 4 people. The kitchen is very well equipped as well so there was no issues with cooking. You wont be disappointed!!
