I visited Roman Camp Service Station today. I have bought fuel there innumerable times before and did not notice that a one way system has been introduced.  I inadvertently drove in through the exit. When the attendant,  who obviously knew I was waiting,  failed to switch on the pump I had selected  to use I went into ask him to do so. He was rude and abrupt and told me if I wanted to be served I would have to turn the car round. He was equally rude to another car which had made the same mistake. The driver of that car was so put out that he drove off without buying anything.  When I went in to pay I suggested that the signs be clearer and explanatory notices placed on the fuel pumps. I was met with loud aggression and with such suggestions as "I should have my eyes tested",  and "you  wouldn't drive in a bus lane, would you? " I have no problem with the system which is being introduced. I do have a problem, as a customer, with being treated in such a rude manner.

Sorry, wrong Roman Camp Service Station. The one where I had this experience is near Bristol with an attached Londis!!
