Nothing exceptional... the glass seems not well washed or with a lot of time of use, maybe it should be renewed... Educated staff, but not smiling. Full and noisy place. Does not accept card. For the price I paid I know there are better restaurants in Dundalk...
The best of it's Genre in Dundalk where when I return the food quality is constantly excellent and exactly as I experienced 40 years ago. The dine in experience however is subject to more rules and regulations than a Victorian school. One of which - pay on order "due to restrictions" can't be good for the extremely hard working waitresses tips either.
My favourite diner in Dundalk! Everything is perfect. Not greasy and very tasty! I loved the fresh cod with chips. The burguers are also very good. And, of course, you can't miss the homemade ice-cream!
Over 100 years in Dundalk now, does exactly what it says on the tin. Caff style food, done right, and at a fair price. If you want fine dining, don't go. If you want fed, do. Simples!Food: 4/5
Brilliant place had to wait for a table as alwayswe usually get takeawayand the waiting staff have probably 100's of years experience between themthere are plentyand could probably order for you fresh cod jesus wept out of this world. Has to be the best take away in Dundak! Never got bad food in over 40 years.. home made ice cream is amazing.. never got anything like it anywhere else!
As a vegetarian, it can be hard to get food that fills you up. However I knew before I went in, that the Roma would be perfect for me. A generous cheese omelette, with two sides. One was another generous portion of fried mushrooms, and jet another generous portion of fried onions. The tea was lovely also. The waitress were the best you can get. They made eye contact {which can be very hard to get these days they smiled, very neat and tidy and well dressed, and we were served very quickly. My husband loves their fresh cod. I actually saw about 12 of the same family come in. They were visiting their relatives in Dundalk, and The Roma is always their first stop.

It's just your average restaurant and nothing spectacular. The interior is nice and clean, and the staff is always welcoming. It's incredibly pricy for a simple burger and chips type of diner. The menus are worn and tattered. I'd like to see them updated. There's positives and negatives to this place, but if you fancy a quick burger and are willing to pay the high price for something basic because you're in a hurry, then this is the place for you.
Apparently that's freshly made chicken. I think it looks like salmon. I got my money back. The staff were beautiful. I wouldn't give that as leftovers to a dog
