Decent. Reservations are recommended but smaller groups can be sat without them. Short but varied menu with lots of unusual options. The dauphinoise potatoes and the cocktails were really nice. The other dishes were fine but not memorable or needed something to lift them. The service was good though and the restaurant design is super trendy.
Such an amazing place to eat, would definitely recommend as one of the places to go for dinner when visiting Edinburgh. Epic taste and dishes especially the scallops main sauce, really want to give a shout-out to the kitchen. Nice ambient atmosphere for a nice dinner. It is popular even on a weekday dinner so book in advanced!

Another fab lunch, really delicious food and I can’t see past the lamb feta salad with the most perfect hand cut chips!! Cauliflower pakora fab and the banana bred and butter pudding with caramel ice cream best ever! Good drinks and wine selection too. It’s our go-to for a relaxed Sunday afternoon dine out - and highly recommended!
Very very nice food! We were unfortunately time constrained and only had 40mins to eat, but the staff very kindly worked to make this possible for us and we did not regret it! Wish we could have spent more time here… my only suggestion is that the menu design is worked on a little, as it is a little hard to understand. The food was very nice and honestly would’ve paid a little more for it.
Lovely atmosphere for a date, with candlelight and great service. The food is on the pricey side, especially for the portion sizes but I could not fault the dishes at all! We had the salmon starter, and scallops and the duck main dishes which were all delicious and really rich in flavour. As the restaurant prides itself in its wine, I have to say the wines we had were also great. Would definitely come again for a special occasion and try something else on the menu as it all sounds really great!
Very nice food and drink. Service was exceptional! The beef plate could’ve had more than 3 strips of beef on it however, the restaurant leans towards fine dining and the food is good so that wasn’t too unacceptable.
Lovely atmosphere, very well finished off decor/style. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was also delicious. Would recommend and return again.
Delicious food. The portions are quite big. We asked how big the bowls are and they told us that they are not that big but they forgot to mention that they are deep. And yes, the service was great except the last part where we were waiting and waiting for our bill after our waitress brought us the leftovers packed and we refused the desert menu. Other employee came to bring us the bill and said that we have to ask for the bill. I thought was implied that we are done and we need the bill.
We enjoyed a sublime lunch at Rollo on 9th February. The food was of an extremely high standard in terms of taste and presentation- cauliflower pakaroas with a zingy salsa accompaniment; duck and scallop main courses;Dauphinnoise potatoes and butternutsquash with pine nuts. The staff were professional, friendly and attentive and the ambience was relaxing with lovely decor. I cannot rate our dining experience at Rollo highly enough. We will definitely return.
