ROKA is a pizzeria based on Sandgate high street. Selling authentic pizza, and Italian coffee that can be enjoyed immediately taken away, or delivered.

Story

ROKA Pizza is a family business, dedicated to delivering a special experience through authentic pizza reminiscent of Italy and France. We use a huge influence of Mediterranean travel and are lucky enough to have pizza chefs that have flown over from Italy especially to join Roka.

Our interior is well thought out and is designed to create a space which is welcoming and pleasant to enjoy orders right away. There are also the options of delivery, on orders over £15 within a three mile radius. However, being so close to Sandgate beach, and our wood oven being fired up at 5pm, we encourage customers this summer to enjoy the view, atmosphere and their food in this beautiful area and take a walk along the beach. Ordering in advance is welcomed.

We have a vision of creating a hub of space for people who are; passionate about food; enjoy music, travel and all things that make this life interesting. That, or just want to make of the most of their location in a happy and enthusiastic environment. We are interested in excellent quality food, which not only tastes great, but agrees with your body. We use only the freshest vegetables from a local supplier, good quality Italian meats and produce from a specialist supplier that has catered for Italian restaurants since 1968. Plus, our dough mix was carefully selected by us and our chefs, using 20% wholemeal flour so that unlike other pizzas, is better for digestion and has a lower GI.

This concept of food runs throughout our entire business.

Between the hours of midday until 5pm we will be selling Puccias, a freshly baked typical Italian sandwich, made from our pizza dough, which is then toasted. A great lunchtime option.

We will also be offering a selection cakes, made in house, and created by a chef with four years experience in a Parisienne kitchen. He uses less flour and introduces ingredients like ground almonds, palenta and real cocoa creating the same lighter effect, not sacrificing taste but introducing it. Our daytime menu goes perfectly with our Italian coffee or cold drinks; such as San Pelligrino and iced tea with refreshing and exotic flavours.
